Similar problem but a number of random keys including the function key which switches on the wireless will not work. Is there any way to switch on the wireless without using Function + F2?

Have you in all the necessary drivers installed ?

Posted on Aug 13, 2008

Program required is Launch Manager, if you have this installed, not sure what the problem is but without it the wireless button will not work. Fujitsu web site has the launch manager software

Where is my wifi button on my coby netbookpc 10'' 250gb

Maybe you don't have your wireless turned on. Look onboth sides and in front for the Wireless Switch and turn it on.

Also once the wireless switch is turned on there are keystrokes that can togglethe wireless on or off. Normally you would Press and Hold the FN functionkey located at the lower left of the keyboard, then hit the correct F1 thru F12key that toggles the wireless. The correct F1 thru F12 key to hit willhave the wireless signal icon )))) on it. Or it might have the icon of a towerwith the wireless signal icon )))). Normally the screen will displayWireless On or Wireless Off when you toggle the wireless.

Where do I find the wireless button on an IBM thinkpad X31?

Some laptops don't have a wireless button or switch. If that's the case they control the wireless by keystrokes. Look onboth sides and in front for the Wireless Switch and turn it on. Look on both sides and in front for a wireless button. Look just above the keyboard for a wireless button.

Wireless is disabled on dell vostro 1540

Look on both sides of the laptop for the switch or button. Look in the front of the laptop too. I've seen the wireless switch at the bottom of the lcd screen on either the left or right side on some dell models (you just press it).

Normally the keystrokes to get the wireless going requires you to Press and Hold the FN Function key then hit the key that toggles the wireless (F1 thru F12). The correct F1 thru F12 key might have the wireless icon )))) on it.

Hello - exactly how do I turn on/activate the wireless? have tried F1 with Fn with no success. linksys is totally set up to receive but no wireless shows on laptop. ethernet cable internet is good. Thank...

Can you locate the physical switch for the wireless on the laptop? If so, turn it off for 5 seconds and then turn it back on. If that doesn't work you may need to reinstall the wireless driver.

Wireless switch still red, wireless assistant not available

Two questions:
Q1: Do any other switches/touch buttons work? If not then follow the procedure below:
1. turn off computer 2. Remove battery and power plug 3. hold down the power button for 20 secs 4. reattach battery and power plug 5. Turn on laptop. 6. All buttons will work including the wireless
Q2: Do you see the HP Wireless Assistant icon in your system tray? If not then go to start menu and search for the above.
Once you locate it open the program and check if your installed wireless device is on or turned off. In case of the latter, Turn it on from the action list. Once your device is on the touch button will work.

Speedtouch st536 v6 to a wireless WAP54G

The wireless is not picking up the speedtouch. So its either the speedtouch wireless connection not working or the laptop one.

But if ur getting internet thru the wireless on the laptop then its definately the speedtouch.

Jus try powering off and on the speedtouch. That way the laptop should connect to it as it comes on.
