Question about Bose Audio Players & Recorders
One of three things.
The speaker is bad
The wire/plug is bad
The connector that you are plugging it in is bad
To troubleshoot, try the headphones on another source. If they both work, then the connector on the source you are having issues with is bad. If the same one is still not working, then that rules out the connector on the source. Most commonly, the wire breaks either at the connector or where it enters the headphones themselves. These are the two stress points on the wire. If you wiggle, move, push the wire at either of these two points while listening to the headphones, do you hear static in the bad headphone? If so, then the wire needs to be repaired/replaced. You can get wire and a new plug at your local Radio Shack or similar store. Some soldering will most likely be required to accomplish this. If you are interested in pursuing this further, please respond and I'll try to step you through it.

Just found this and it worked! Hope it does for you as well:
There should be a button on the DVD remote control with a headphone symbol on it. Make sure the headphones are turned on(red indicator on earpiece) and push the headphone button on remote. The headphones will only work in the back seats of the vehicle. Once you have audio to the headphones, you should be able to hit the AM/FM button on the radio and listen to the radio while back passengers use the headphones for video.
