Hello,

look under the passenger's seat, you would find about two or more screws hold the seat. Use a screw driver to unscrew these screws, the you will be able to raise the seat. Once the seat is raised, you will kind of circle cover with an arrow sign/symbol on it. Open this circle cover by turning it clockwise or anti clockwise depending on how it was locked.

The moment the cover is successfully opened, you will find your fuel gauge, remove the fuel gauge b unscrewing the screw around it and you have successfully gotten to the fuel tank.

Make sure there is no light or fire around you when you want to open the fuel tank.

in a Toyota Camry, the pump unit is located inside the fuel tank directly below the rear passenger seats. You need to remove the seats from inside the car. Once they are removed the pump is easily accessible by opening a covered hole right above the tank.

Until 1987 the fuel pumps were located under the left rear of the vehicle Starting in 1989, it is inside the fuel tank. You can access it without removing the fuel rank via an access panel inside the rear cargo or passenger area. You have to remove the rear seat to gain access to the panel.

you don't have to remove the back sit to get there, just pull it and it will fold it's in the seat behind the passenger seat. there you will see a black cover with 3 bolts, remove them, disconnect the hoses, then you will see a black cap turn it counter clockwise there the white part will come out with the inner fuel pump.It should have a transference fuel pump that it works with about 8 psi.

I have a '94 Colt. I used a grinder and cut a 8" x 8" square out of the floor above the fuel pump access on the fuel tank. Remove the back seat bottom, carefully drill a few holes about where the right rear passengers legs go. When you see the fuel line and electricals... cut your square. How do i change a 2004 Lincoln LS fuel pump?
Hi. here's how to change the fuel pump. The actual electric fuel pump is in the tank on the right side. The tank is directly below the rear seat. If you remove the seat bottom you will find a 6 inch or so cover. Under the cover there is a plastic, threaded collar that locks the fuel pump into the tank. The driver's side also has a pump, but it works only my venturi effect from the electric pump on the other side. This pump is used to equalize the fuel level from left to right. The drive shaft tunnel prevents all but the very top of the tank from communicating left to right.

2002 Xterra fuel pump replacement
No, like others said, there's an access plate under the rear seats. Most imports (Honda, Toyota, Nissan) have this access plate to get to the pump. Some domestics don't (90's Camaros etc)

Removal
  1. Relieve the Fuel System Pressure . Refer to the procedure in this section.
Cushion Cover and Pad, Rear Seat — One-Piece and 50/50 Split Fold Removal
  1. Remove the two rear seat cushion bolts.
  1. Fold the rear seat back cover and cushion (60084) forward.
  1. Carefully pull the rear seat cushion and cover (60030) out from under the rear seat back cover and cushion and remove the rear seat cushion and cover from the vehicle
  1. Remove the rear seat cushion and cover (60030). Refer to Section 01-10 for the removal procedure.
  1. Remove the three luggage compartment floor cover hold-down pins and fold the luggage compartment floor cover (45455) forward until the fuel pump assembly access plate is visible.
  1. Remove the four fuel pump assembly access plate screws, the ground lead, and the fuel pump assembly access plate from the chassis.




  1. Disconnect the fuel pump assembly electrical connector.




  1. On 4-door vehicles, remove the fuel vapor tube shutoff valve bolt and the evaporative emission tube shut off valve (9G332) from the bracket on the fuel pump assembly housing.




  1. Loosen the two hose clamps and disconnect the two fuel pump hoses from the fuel pump hose fittings on the fuel pump assembly housing.




  1. Remove the four screws (2-door) or eight screws (4-door) and lift the fuel pump assembly housing from the fuel tank (9002).




  1. Disconnect the fuel level sensor electrical connector.
  1. Remove the two fuel level sensor washers and fuel level sensor nuts and the fuel level sensor.

  1. Remove the fuel level sensor. Refer to the Fuel Level Sensor removal procedure in this section.
  1. Remove the fuel pump screw, fuel pump grommet and the fuel pump bracket from the bottom of the fuel pump (9350).




  1. Remove the fuel tank sender filter bracket, fuel tank sender filter (9A011) and the fuel tank sender filter retainer from the fuel pump.
  1. Disconnect the fuel pump electrical connector.
  1. Remove the clamp and the fuel pump from the fuel pump assembly housing.
