You can do this without a remote if you have a menu button on the tv you can fix it from there. if no menu button the press the channel up and down buttons at the same time and the menu will appear. if you can not find the tv code for the remote(IF its a universal remote) then you dont need the code you just follow the steps to enter the code But dont enter a code just keep pressing the channel up button on the remote until it turns the channel on the tv when it does STOP hit the enter/ok or similar button on the remote a your remote will work like new on your tv.Hope this helps you out or atleast gives you an idea.Best of luck to you!!!!     You are stupid!!! If you do not know what your talking about DON'T ANSWER!!! Sanyo sucks and has a button on the original remote that changes the aspect ratio. Without the original you are boned. I called to find out that the remote is about $40 after shipping. Hope this helps...

Use your cable or satellite tv remote to adjust the aspect ratio. If you have cable there is a button on the remote called hd zoom and it has this symbol: #. On the satellite tv remotes it usually says format or aspect. You might even have to go into the cable box/satellite tv receiver menus to adjust the aspect ratio/picture format. Once you have done so you can fine tune the picture even further with the television remote's wide/format/aspect/zoom button. Also check and make sure your television is on the right input and that your cable box/satellite tv receiver is set at the right resolution for the television 1080p/1080i/720p.

Cannot change aspect ratio of picture when ratio button is pressed on remote. Batteries in remote are good. Everything else on remote works. Sony KP-57HW40
If you are connected to a HD cable or satellite box, the aspect ratio is set by that box. If it is set for 1080i 16:9 wide screen mode then your TV is locked at that ratio. Lost remote for sanyo ht30746 tv
You can buy an exact remote from a company called Remote control warehouse for 39.95----Google the model number and you will find them.

It is very common that "universal" remotes will do many functions but not ALL that the original remote did--considering this it may be a good idea to get an original remote---part number on this site is: 6450750977for the remote for this model Sanyo.

I cannot change the aspect ratio on the TV. When I go to the menu, Aspect Ratio is in red and I cannot select it. On certain channels the screen is too big and I can't see the edges of the broadcatsed...
This is a quote of what Sanyo told me: "The aspect ratio can only be changed when the unit is in the video mode." So I tried switching modes with the input button and it worked but went to like a letter box/wide screen type of picture, which doesn't help me. We have dishnetwork and on the Panasonic plasma we can adjust the ratio with their remote so I have two options there but not with my Sanyo unfortunately. Hope this helps

I need to un-zoom my sanyo television set. How do i do this with a RCA universal remote (rcu600m)?
I am not positive that this will work for you, but it did for me. I have a Sanyo tv set that was stuck zoomed in. I have mediacom and a remote that is given with the cable box that was programmed to work on the tv, on this remote at the bottom the "#" button says "Aspect" above it and after pushing it the problem was fixed. Sanyo HT30744 Aspect Ratio Help
Do you still have the original remote? If so there is a button that says "Pix shape" that will change your aspect ratio for you. If you are watching something in HD it should say "full". If it is analog it will say "normal" in 4x3 format. If you want it stretch hit it till it says "zoom 1" or "zoom 2". If you don't have the original remote I am not sure how you would change it. You can find them on ebay if you need one. Hope this helps.
