Hi Rich - i was asking about a Whirlpool LSR8233EQ1 top loading washer. Not a Frigidaire Front Load Washer. Can you provide a solution for the Whirlpool washing machine? Thanks

Thank you! Can you provide some help on how to install it? Is it complicated?

I have ordered the part and will install it when it gets here. It sounds like it will work! Thanks!

I saw the same thing you are describing on a top loader. The plug that goes into the timer had backed out slightly. I cleaned the corrosion and pushed the plug back in. No parts were needed.

Missing cycles or if the timer won't advance, you have bad contacts within the timer which is part of the "control board".You will need to replace the "control board" on your washer. Here is a link to the part.

Remove the front panel of the washer by using a putty knife to release the retaining clips, located in the seam between the front panel and the washer's top, about 2 inches in from each side. With an empty wash tub, remove the small hose on the left side of the outer tub and clean out the inside of the hose. Replace the hose. Test.

Washing machine continues to fill when starts

If it fills with water and starts the cycle and the water keeps running in then your water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in is sticking. It needs replacing.

Water fills the tub then nothing happens.

it does not aggitate? Thats the cycle that allows the water to wash the clothes. It may be broken, I have had that happen a couple times. I would take the aggitator off and see if the teeth in the groves are worn out, It happen's when used alot. Commen problem and easy to replace.

Have a ge washer, filss then does not progress to

May be a bad water level switch.
Open the control panel, with a full tub of water bump the water level switch with your hand. If it starts to agitate, replace the water level switch.

Keeps filling up even when full for over 4 hours (never changed cycles)

The timer sends a signal to the water level control valve. This valve serves two primary purposes. 1. Activate the water valve to fill the machine. 2. Shut the water flow down and allow the machine to operate. Try running the machine again. If the water continues to enter the machine after it begins aggitating then shut the water off at the spigot. Now watch and see if the timer moves or not.

If the timer does not move at all then I would replace the timer. If it DOES move then another problem exists and will need to be addressed.
