Router passwords are case sensitive, be careful when entering the password. If you can, ask the owner of the router to enter the password for you. If you're using a neighbor's wifi network, you are pretty much out of luck unless they give you the password.

Using dlink router trying to run my i pod touch but unable to connect to internet

Make sure you have internet connected to the DLink first. You will need a PC to configure the DLink i.e DHCP, SSID, Webkey, etc. Then, you can set your ipod to connect to your DLink.

Can not connect my i-pod touch to the wireless internet at home. computer connects ok. i-pad touch connects at other locations, but not at home.

In your wireless management tab, select "forget connection". Select your network to connect to, enter password information, and you should be good to go.

I lost the passcode to my i pod touch

Their directions sheet is incorrect. when the initial screen says save, don't click down load and be prepared to wait 1/2 an hour befor it starts. mine tried to down load over 6 times before it finally took. then I attempted to get on to the internet and msn was not one of their choices! also I was locked out of the three wi-fi stations that came on screen. I'm guessing this is a piece of hyped junk.

Need help hooking up my ipod touch to the network, will work every where but here at the house. wrt54g2 my wife has the same ipod touch as i do, 16gb, 2nd gen;her's works on the net, mine keeps saying can...

This is going to be one of those frustating things that is hard to solve - or it will just solve itself!
I was out doing a service call with a client with the same router. Accidentally the router had been reset and the SSID had returned to netgear and the security had been turned off.
Resetting the SSID and wireless security is straightforward and at the end I could connect easily with my iPod Touch (1st gen) - however, the client's eMac couldn't connect - he constantly got "It was not possible to connect" messages. Noting that there were about a dozen other transmitters of varying strengths being picked up I decided to change the channel that the netgear was using. This worked - he could now connect but the emac kept saying that the password he was sending was incorrect. (I'm still connected). After some umming and arring we decided to switch the password back to one that had been using when the system was first installed. Now he can connect but my pod says "It was not possible to connect" - it didn't even ask for the password - it just rejected out of hand - all the other transmitters asked for the password. Even rebooting the pod had no effect.
Anyway - the job was done as it was getting him reconnected that was the issue.

Got i pod touch internet problems

when you set up your home internet, it comes with a password. you might have it written down somewhere, and if not, most routers will have a utilities site where you can log in and discover (or re-discover) your router's password.
hope this helps ;-)

Ipod Touch can't connect to WiFi

MY only solution was reset my i-pod touch, and after reset it's working very well my Wi-Fi.

To reset your i-pod touch just go to settings
you will find reset button.

Alternately, check your router to see if it actually sees the i-pod.

Try re-synching your i-pod.

Also try resetting your router with the i-pod off then after router resets turn i-pod back on. Should find then..

Hope this helps.
