I may not have made myself clear, the microphone is part of the camera (Panasonic TY CC10W) which plugs directly into the USB port on the tv (Panasonic TH P42V20Z).

    Your comments please

    Many thanks

Will you please send me details and descriptions about your TV. You haven't specified anything about it through your post. Which is the Brand, and what is the model number. Give me details through Fixya please.

To start with you might need to check the microphone individually to see if the Microphone works. So have the mic impedance checked with a meter. If this is disconnected you can test the coil resistance and the line continuity.
Use the mic with an amplifier to confirm that the mic works well.
Now check the input of the mic and specially the audio amplification of the unit. You must be able to attain a good audio output with the touch of your finger on the input port. if not the amplifier can be faulty and must be checked. It can be failure of power to the output or a failure of the amp.
Since the model and make is not specified I would be able to help you more with some details after you have checked these tips.

If so the camera must bedetected on the TV. If detected without any the mic being ON, record a visual with sound and try to play back. If the sound is heard then the camera should be fine. If so the manual must be checked again to see if the mic works when connected as a web cam. so check this out.

Performing a power reset
1. Turn off the television.
2. Unplug the television power cord from the electrical outlet.
3. Let the television remain without power for 60 seconds.
4. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet.
NOTE: If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.

Having problem with powering up tv

Hi John,
Power board or any other board is to be decided only after proper examination and voltage measurement. Your tv is trying to" power on" but due to some problem the action is not completing. Better consult some good TV technician.
Good luck.

Why does my tv shuts off soon after its turned on?

The Sceptre is a fine TV but is very sensitive to power surges.
If the unit turns off, soon after powering on, it is most likely the power supply.
Try disconnecting the power to the unit for 20 minutes and allow to completely cool down.

Re-connect the power and try the unit.

Hope it works for you

I disconnected and reconnected the cobra 29 nw ltd classic and now my voice is heard very low and slow it was working fine just before disconnection. can you help

How did you disconnect it?? Antenna wire?? Power supply?? Microphone?? May be that you have a short in your coax in back of radio. Try taking it loose and screw it back in. Try new coax. Turn up Mic gain knob or change microphone. Make sure power wires are connected RED to RED(+) and Black to Black(-). Try grounding radio to metal ; if inside house ground to metal water pipes, filing cabinet, breaker box or meter box or 8 foot rod into earth. Measure SWR it should read 1.1 to 1.5. Measure power supply with Voltmeter it should be 12 to 15 volts. Check antenna plug in back of radio is my guess or microphone itself.

I press the power button and the television will not come on. The light switches between blue and red as if there is a short-circuit or disconnect or its thinking.

Hey there! I had the same problem 2-3 weeks ago. The TV won't turn on, although there is a blue light.
I called the service centre and they came and found out that a cell that connects electricity to the LCD screen is dead. So they had to change the whole board. It costed me around $135. Then, everything went completely fine. Works better than ever.
I wish that I helped you & that this post helps you at most! Don't forget to rate! :)

Sony 46" lcd turns off by itself and will not power up again.

if your tv unit is still under warranty, first you better bring it back again to the store you just bought it for warranty purposes, your tv has an internal problem, maybe manufacturer defect. Usually the cause of that is a shorted electronics component, say for ex, a mosfet transistor that is located at the power section, or maybe a capacitor that is leaky, and also an open resistor. if you don't know how to troubleshoot this problem, you better have your tv unit repaired by a professional tv technician.

Good luck

My lt37hvs turns off by it self

I have the exact same issue. Some days I can play halo 3 online for ~8 hours and have no problems, but other days it just powers off and I have to leave it unconnected from the outlet for 3+ hours.

For those with the same problem looking for a better fix, do not leave the TV on to just idle on a pause screen or something of that nature. Try to get the HDTV an outlet with nothing else connected to it. Finally, putting a big *** floor fan cooling it down does seem to help. The TV is great considering the price and quality of the picture, but the issue makes it absolutely worthless in my mind. What's the point when you can't use it when you want to? Ugh, despite the great price of $600 for a 26" 1080i HDTV, I'm going to go with a Japanese HDTV next go around.

Kenwood 606 receiver

disconnecting the tv from the audio connections on your amp may have created a powersurge in the audio input selector IC. Try powering down the amp at the wall completely for 5 mins and turn it on again. Check to see if operation has returned. If not then it may need an audio selector chip replaced.

This problem can be caused when connecting or disconnecting rca connectors from non earthed equipment like TV and VCRs, By the nature of this type of connector, it will spike the input line by connecting with voltages floating often over 100volts.

to avert this problem occurring, wire all the equipment up and with aerial disconnected and tv / vcr turned off at the wall socket. Turn the equipment power on at the wall last thing.
