The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

I can't upload pictures or recharge battrey

If your photos are stored on the memory card, then removethe memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader.Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of yourworking computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device oran external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card andcopy the photos to your computer.Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. Youcan copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off yourmemory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing anyprograms.

I would like to copy a photo from my Kodak EasyShare M550 . No matter what directions I follow, I cannot copy the few pictures I shot. What am I doing wrong? I tried following Kodak advice, but nothing...

Here's another possible option to copy your pictures over to your PC without using the software:

1.)Plug in your camera and turn it on.
2.)Wait a few moments then go to "My Computer"
3.)A new hard disk will show up. Double-click into it, and soon another folder, keep exploring and you should find your photos.
4.)Once you find them, create a folder (where ever you choose, the desktop will do just fine).
5.)Then select all the pictures, right-click on them, choose Copy.
6.)Go into the newly created folder and right click in it and choose Paste.
7.)Once all the pictures are successfully copied over you can delete the ones off your camera.

Hope this helps!

How come my kodak m550 wont charge

When you want to charge the camera, plug it in and also open the battery door. Don't know why that works, don't know why Kodak doesn't tell customers in the manual to do that, but it does work. Have the battery door open also while charging.

When I plug in my camera, it starts to load "Kodak

Hello,

The camera is loading a application that uses JAVA script and thus there might be a issue with the program itself.

Kodak comes with Easy share software witch allows you to share your photos on sites like Face book, ect.

What you could do at this point if you want a FAST solution is:

1. Click on START then MY COMPUTER
2. The camera should be there under STORAGE DEVICES
3. Click on the camera or storage device then click on the folder witch will open up a couple folders for video and pictures.
4. Right mouse click and drag over all the files then click MOVE/ or copy
5. Select your hard drive C:/ then select USERS then my pictures
6. right click in the my pictures folder then click paste!

This will safe your pictures to your local hard drive if you use the MOVE command it will delete the photos off the camera and move it to that folder.

The other option is to reinstall the Kodak software that came with the camera.

If you have any questions let me know!

My Easyshare M550 states, "internal

Hello

OK, the first step will be to take out your memory card. Now, plug the camera into the computer using the USB data cable. Now, copy all the photos on the internal memory of the camera to the computer and delete it when the copy process is done.

Now, you just place back the memory card into the camera again, and the problem should be sorted lout.

Please feel free to let me know of you need any further assistance.

Kind regards
