Always when posting make and model are very helpful. most likely there is something blocking the drain ports on the basin. the most common article would be the clear wrap of a tv dinner.. or something like that .. or a paper that was surrounding a can or bottle that you put thru your dishwasher cycle. most often it is reocmmended not to wash your recycling in the dishwasher as this is a common problem that can ruin your machine. is it new ? is this the first time using it? who installed it. would be my next questions and if it is any of the above then chances are someone didnt uncap and port for drainage... if you have used it before and now all of the sudden it is blocked then it is something like a paper or clear plastic blocking your drain ports at the base in the middle of the dishwasher you will see a grate with holes if they are blocked it will not drain.

Diswasher water isn't draining?

It is most likely the drain pump. If the drain pump passes a tech's test ok, have the drain passage checked for clogs.

The water is not draining at the end of the dry cycle. White dirty water pools in the bottom of the diswasher.

Fridgeadare FDB510LCS5-My diswasher does not appear to be draining. The bottom of the diswasher is full of water.

there is only a few things this could be caused by
if it is not obvious like a clear plastic wrap covering the drain ports on the base insdie teh dish washer then it will have to be one of the following:
check these:
1. Drain line/air gap
2. Pump
3. Drain valve and/or solenoid
4. Belt
5. Motor
6. Timer it is highly not likely to be the timer..

The bottom of the diswasher is full of water after the cycle

Since the drain pump will pump the water out using the "cancel/drain" button, if it did not work then your problem is likely to be in the drain hose system or the garbage disposal downstream from the drain pump. Check for kinks in clogs in the drain hose. Grease can build up in the portion of the drain hose just before it attaches to the garbage disposal.

My diswasher does not drain.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Dishwasher not draining properly or not draining at all issues can arise due to different reasons. Usually, these issues are related to kinked hoses, knocked out disposer unit (if connected with the dishwasher drain hose) & clogged drain pump & filter. Also note that dishwashers do not drain completely after a finished cycle and this is normal. Dishwashers are designed to leave some water in the unit to ensure that the heating element doesn’t overheat. If you suddenly begin to experience a large amount of water being retained in your dishwasher, you have a problem. Some of the most common reasons include that the drain hose isn’t working properly, the drain pump isn’t working correctly, or possibly there is a plumbing problem in your home’s drain lines. First check whether the drain is not clogged or blocked and the line is not kinked. Check all the hoses for blockages & also clean the air gap. If you have checked the drain hose and can’t locate the problem, then it is an issue with the drain pump of the dishwasher. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks
Rylee

Diswasher has water standing at the bottom after the dishes are clean

Some water can be normal. If it is too much the drain line is clogged or the drain tubing may be too low going into the drain under the sink. Raise the tubing to 30 inches before it drops down and goes into the sink drain. Read the install manual.

Check the float switch. If it is stuck the machine will start but no water will be allowed in and the pump will turn on to drain the non existant water. This happens often when a small item gets under the float preventing it from allowing the water valve to open. Find the float in the bottom of your machine and make sure it moves freely.
