There are rubber stoppers in the four corners, remove them. Under the stoppers are screws remove the screws and prize the bezel away carefully using a soft implement, like a thumb nail to avoid damage to the plastiv.
When replacing the rubber stoppers, use a dab of adhesive, like evostik or a non solvent glue to avoid damaging the plastic.
Hope that helps.

Where can i find the process to change a D410 inverter

If the screen on your laptop is dimming or not working at all, the fault may lie in the Dell Latitude D410 Inverter --the device that powers the screen's backlight. Replacing an Dell Latitude D410 LCD inverter will require some finesse, but you do not need a technical background. If you are comfortable with opening up your laptop, then this is a do-it-yourself project.
1. Unplug your laptop and remove the battery pack.
2. Locate the rubber screw covers around your laptop screen. There are typically four, but some models may have more.
3. Remove the screw covers. Take care not to lose any. They pop off and, if you are not careful, could go flying.
4. Place your fingers between the front bezel (the plastic piece around the LCD screen) and the screen. Gently work your way around the screen to remove the front bezel and expose the screen assembly.
5. Remove the inverter from the screen assembly. It is held on by tape in most models. In some models the Dell Latitude D410 Inverter may be right at the bottom of the screen assembly, below the actual LCD. Other models have the Dell Latitude D410 LCD inverter behind the screen. To disassemble the screen, you will need to either unscrew the screen from its metal holder, or just lift the screen out to expose the inverter.
6. Disconnect the wires leading from the Dell Latitude D410 Inverter. One wire goes to the backlight, while the other goes to the video card.
7. Look on the back of the Dell Latitude D410 LCD inverter for a model number or serial number. Having this exact number will make it easier to order a replacement.
8. Connect the video wire and the backlight wire into the new inverter and affix it using the tape that held the original in place. If you do not have that tape anymore, or it has lost its adhesiveness, you can buy more from computer parts retailers.
9. Put the screen back in place if you need to, and snap the front bezel back on.
10. Screw the front bezel screws back in, and place the screw covers back in place.

Gateway TabletM280e screen broken. What is needed to replace and how to replace it.

Assuming the screen is physically cracked, you need to obtain a new screen, remove the screen bezel by popping off the rubber caps and undoing the screws under them. The screen is fixed into position by two rails with small screws holding it into place. Remove these and the screen will be freed.
Disconnect the VGA cable and the smaller two wire plug that connects the inverter to the screen, replace the new screen and re assemble

How to replace screen on gateway kav60 netbook

1) ALL power removed from the laptop. AC adapter and Battery.

2) The plastic frame that surrounds the LCD screen in the Front is the Bezel.

There are screws which hold the Bezel in place. (Philips head)
There are rubber covers which cover the screw heads.

3) There are plastic covers which cover the Hinges.

The Hinge Covers must be removed first, then the Bezel.

The Gateway KAV60 Netbook PC is one of the Gateway LT series.

I have no links to give you for this series of Gateway Netbook PC's.

However if you follow this pictorial guide, it will lead you in removing the Bezel, and replacing the LCD screen

As you can see scrolling down, and following the photos, and info, remove the Hinge Covers.
(I use a computer pick, perhaps you have a similar device handy)

Then the rubber screw covers are located around the front of the Bezel.
These are removed.

The Screw Covers have a type of contact cement on them. If you carefully remove the Screw Covers, you can reuse them.
Just ease up under one edge to start peeling them off.
If they are set down on a piece of paper, glue side up, the glue will stick again when you go to reinstall the Screw Cover.
(Yes, they do like to stick to the tool, and inevitably your fingertips)

Remove the screws with a Philips screwdriver.

The Bezel snaps into place. There are plastic protrusions (Tabs) that come out of the outside edge of the Bezel, and snap into place in the Display Cover.

Take your fingertips, and ease up on the Inside edge of the Bezel, towards the middle.
(The edge towards the middle of the LCD screen)

When you have the edge up a little, hold it up with the fingers of one hand, then with the other hand go towards the corner, about 2 inches from the corner, and ease the Bezel up.

This part of the Bezel should pop up. Then work along the Bezel with your fingers, and keep popping it up.
Use care as the Bezel can break, but if you are not in the middle pulling up hard, and towards the corner easing it up, it shouldn't break.

The Bezel is made of space-age plastic, and is Pretty Tough. You have to get stupid with it to break it.
When you are removing the Bezel for your first time, you may get a knot in your stomach, when the Bezel goes pop, pop, pop, as it's snapping loose from the Display Cover.
It almost sounds like you're breaking it.

Unplug the Inverter at the bottom of the LCD screen, from the motherboard cable, (Coming out of the main body of the laptop) by it's cable connector.
Unplug the other side of the Inverter that goes to the LCD screen.

Remove the Inverter, set it aside. Sometimes tape is used to fasten the Inverter, sometimes a screw, or screws.

Remove all screws for the metal brackets that hold the LCD screen assembly in place to the Display Cover.

{The LCD screen is an assembly. The LCD screen is composed of layers held together by a metal frame, that resembles a picture frame.

There is a Bracket on the Left side, and a Bracket on the Right side.
The brackets are screwed to the metal frame that surrounds the LCD layers.
The Brackets are also screwed to the Display Cover}

After the screws for the Brackets TO THE Display Cover are removed, unplug the cables at the top of the LCD screen that go to the webcam, IF the laptop has a webcam.

Ease the top of the LCD screen forward towards you.

Unfasten the tape that holds the Display Cable (Video cable) to the back of the LCD screen.
Use your fingernails, and unplug the Display Cable from the back of the LCD screen.

Unscrew the Brackets from the LCD screen.
Find THE screws that attach the Brackets to the LCD screen.

You may also be able to access the screws that hold the metal frame together, that surrounds the LCD screen layers.
You do not want these.

What isn't listed is if there is a Wireless Antenna. If so, there may be antenna leads coming out of the body of the laptop, and going to the LCD screen assembly.

The antenna leads have to be disconnected from the Wireless Card Module.
The laptop is turned over, and the Wireless Card compartment is accessed.
(It may be part of another compartment used by another device, also)

The cover is removed, and the two antenna leads are detached. Observe the colors of the wires. Black and White usually. Observe the connectors to which these wires attach, and make a note. Plug the wires back in the same way.

This is not your laptop, but I feel it may help explain the above,

Scroll the page down, observe Steps 8 and 11.

Screen is dark but icons are barley visible.

What you have is an inverter failure most likely. The inverter takes the AC adapter voltage and converts it to high voltage AC for the backlight bulb. Backlight bulbs rarely fail but the inverters do. Ebay has inverters for around 15-20 bucks. The inverter sits under the lcd panel behind the screen bezel. In most cases, removing the bezel is all you need to do to change the inverter out. Below is a link to the service manual for that model.

When you click on the link go to page 4-61, this is the start of the lcd disassembly. I thing just 4 screws need to be removed and then take your finger nails and pry off the bezel in a small area and work your way around the screen until the bezel comes loose. When replacing the bezel always start at the bottom between the hinges and work your way up and around.

How do I remove the invertor from a Qosmio F20?

The inverter is located behind the bezel at the bottom of the screen/lid and in between the hinges.
The bezel has screws that fixes it to the lid and these can be hidden by stick-on plastic covers. Use a thin sharp point to lift these plastic covers off to reveal the screws. Remove these screws.
The bezel has small plastic catches that clips it to the lid and may also be fixed to the LCD screen with double sided tape. Use a thin blade and insert it between the LCD screen and the bezel and gently ease the bezel off. Start at the bottom of the screen and gradually work along the edge and continue around each side to free the bezel.
Be CAREFUL not to scratch the LCD screen and DO NOT apply too much pressure to the face of the LCD screen because you can crack the glass surface and ruin the LCD screen.
Once the bezel is removed then you can get access to the inverter to remove it.

Hp dv9000 has a black screen. powers up fine. Start using it in any program and within less than a minute the screen goes black. TNow using an external screen. Laptop only 2 years old and it was expensive.

Your screen inverter is failing or has failed. Remove the bezel from around the screen and the inverter sits under the screen and is atached by two plugs. The inverter takes DC power and converts it to high voltage AC power to run the lcd backlight. Yours is failing. These are 20 bucks on ebay. Remove the rubber plugs around the bezel that are covering the attaching screws, remove screws, pry the bezel off the frame with your finger nails, use caution and wirk a corner first, then work your way around the screen. Look below the screen and there at the bottom is the inverter...unplug at both ends and replace with a good one.

How do I replace the LCD inverter in a Gateway 3018GZ laptop?

Remove the screen bezel (plastic screen surround), this will reveal the whole screen. At the bottom of the screen you will see an elongated piece of circuit board with wires coming from either end covered by frosted plastic.
That is the inverter, to remove it gently pull the plugs from each end and remove the screw from the middle and pull the board away and replace it.
If you have not got a replacement yet look at the inverter for a copper coil, if you re-solder the solder points around the coil you may find it works again as components that suffer from extreme heat the solder joints dry causing bad connections, re-floating the solder solves the problem in 90% of cases.

Good luck.

Unable to remove Gateway m680 Laptop LCD Bezel

I would try just using a little bit more force (not too much!) the bezel will have clips around it to keep it in place along with the screws under the rubber protectors. Also make sure that the bezel doesn't hook in to the hinge cover in any way, as this will prevent it from coming off properly. If it does then pop the hinge covers off before continuing.

the inverter is located unerneath the monitor ( lid ), behind the bezel ( plastic cover that surrounds the screen ) unscrew the front cover and you can't miss the inverter its an elongated circuit board, just disconnect it and replace. You may have to take the lid off to get to the inverted depending on the bezel type
hope this helps
