Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

If you align the spray arm to the section of the upper rack which it fastens to, as shown here...

my top spray arm has fallen off and i cannot work - macmarkus_206.jpg

Then place it against the holder and turn, it should grab the holder, unless something else has broken...but it should be that simple, i.e.

This is the official explanation from Bosch below...

Hopefully that will help you move forward and answer you question. Let me know if you need any further assistance, otherwise good luck.

Thanks for visiting FixYa.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

Check if you have at least 120 degree water temperature coming into the dishwasher. Check if the upper rack spray arm is turning during cycle. Does dishwasher sound normal, like you can hear strong water spray inside it?

Put on a new head with studs in the rock arm , the nut that screws on the stud is backing off when i start the engine what should i do did i miss something or put something back wrong need help

just put some high-temp red loc-tite thread locking glue on the thread before you put it back to gether, just be sure to clean off the surface of what you want it on and you cna put oil on the parts you do not want to stick together.

I was trying to fix the door lock problem myself on my Whirlpool Duet Washer GHW9150PWO and I pushed the door lock mechanism down with a screw driver and it locked into place. Of course the door won't...

Did the screw driver make it out? UNPLUG THE WASHER There are 2 screws at the top of the washer that hold the top cover on. remove the screws and SLIDE the top cover back off the washer. This should expose the door lock assembly, down the right side of the door. There is 1 or 2 screws that need removed and then there is enough wiring that you should be able to pulll the switch where you can work on it.

Now here's the hard part. What probably happened was that the actuator was popped out of its cradle, possibly losing its spring tension. There are clips on on half of the plastic covers(2 halves snapped together). VERY carefully separate the assembly watching for a loose or shooting spring popping out of the covers. If the spring is still on the acauator arm, and hooked in place, good. carefully put the arm back in its cradle. hopefully it snaps in so reassembly is MUCH easier. Simply snap th e assembly back to gether. test the arm with your screw driver to make sure it is springy. Re install the lock where you removed it from the door area. Good Luck.

Upper spray arm failure

Easy to solve!
(1) Remove the drawers to give yourself room to work
(a) bottom drawer just comes right out -- but you knew that
(b) Carefully unclip small plastic retainer caps at the ends of the metal "glides" for the top drawer. Then slide the caps out of the glides. Then remove the top drawer.
(2) Unscrew the "gear-like" plastic fitting into whose hole you were sticking your finger when you felt that small cylindrical ring.
(3) Now that you've got access to the ring, the solution is obvious -- use it to snap the upper arm back into the gear-like fitting. When you're done, the arm will rotate freely in the fitting.
(4) Put everything back together and enjoy the fact that you didn't have to pay some yobbo $75 to come to your hous and do this for you!

(HINT: When screwing the gear-like fitting back into place, use the old machinist's trick of pressing gently and screwing backwards until you feel a click. The threads will now be aligned for you to screw things together the right way. If you do not do this, you might experience frustration reattaching fitting -- since the piece it screws onto is spring loaded.)

The upper arm clips onto the upper drawer not onto the nozzles!

Frigiaire dishwasher upper spray arm cover came

Okay, it worked! Reach up in the very top (inside) of dishwasher and unscrew the only thing up there that will unscrew. I just used my dishrag (remember righty-tighty and lefty-loosey). Mine had a small white ring laying in the indention that had 2 "teeth" pointing down. I turned the 2 white teeth crosswise to the two gray teeth in the top of my spray arm and it snapped right together. I then screwed the whole thing (with spray arm attached) back to the top of the dishwasher. I didn't have to worry about the above 'one tooth at a time' thing because mine only had 2 'teeth' and snapped back on easily. Yes, it's a little wobbly but it's always been that way. I always try to make sure nothing is hitting it but will be more careful. Good luck with yours. :)

3rd level spray arm has falln off

I had the same problem a couple of months ago, apparently this is a common problem, I went to the website for my dishwasher and located the part number, lo and behold there was a store in town that had the replacement part for $11.00. I unscrewed the old one and screwed the new one in place and it has worked beautifully ever since.

Upper Spray Arm in the dishwasher has fallen off

If you cannot just twist it so it screws back on a part was broken.

So I suggest you contact the manufacturer about this. Im sure that will be much more helpful!

Broken nozzle and upper spray arm

Thanks for the help. Like the other guy said the "ninga star" thing unscrews and using the plastic part inside I just pop the spray arm back on. Screw it back and it works again.
