Do you have the Software Driver of your LEXMARK 2600? if you dont have the Driver then you will have to download the Driver from LEXMARKs website

My computer doesn't recognize my printer


It's possible that the problem is with the USB port on the printer. If you have a router, you can try to connect your printer using an ethernet cable so you won't have to configure your printer using a USB cable.

Once you have connected the printer using an ethernet cable, proceed with the installation in your computer and choose ethernet as the connection type. It should automatically find the printer on your network.

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer (if USB connected)> reboot your pc > unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer (if USB connected). Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection or when the WiFi light on the printer turns solid green (if WiFi connected.).


If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

  1. Disconnect the USB cable connecting the printer from your computer.
  2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.
  3. Delete the Lexmark print object.
  4. Reboot computer.
  5. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - black box where the power cord is plugged into on the back of the printer, and re-plug after 30 seconds.
  6. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to the computer.
  7. Wait until your computer fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list, try to print a document to verify that the problem is fixed.

You may also try to update your printer driver by visiting the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/aNGYmW. Select your operating system, download and execute the file.

My computer is saying it is not connected to my Lexmark x2670 printer but I have everything connected. I need my printer! Help please.

What you will see The Continue button is gray (i.e. Continue), preventing further driver stallation. connect the Installation Cable; using the supplied installation cable, connect to any USB port on this computer. Back Quit Continue There are several possible reasons for an inactive Continue button. Try the following suggestions in the order provided to resolve this issue: Action
1 Make sure the printer is turned on:
2 Confirm a solid connection of the USB installation cable on both printer and computer. HINT: The USB port is identified by this symbol:

I just bought a new Gateway NV53 laptop but my P4350 Lexmark all in one printer does not recognize any of the USB ports.


Did you check whether the USB ports are recognizing other USB devices such as Microvault or Flash Drive? If all other USB devices are recognized except the Printer, then reinstall the USB Drivers. You can uninstall the USB drivers from the Device Manager and restart the Computer. The USB Devices are listed under Universal Serial Bus Controllers in the Device Manager.

Cannot install All-In-One


this uses a usb port..depending on your comp.if you do not have an extra port to use, you will have no problem in buying a hub,which will have extra usb ports. also you will have to unplug-set for 5min or so.with comp off replug printer,then turn on comp.
