That depends on the software you're using. Most basic paint or graphics programs probably won't have this option. Higher end programs, such as the famous Photoshop and others will.

Try the built in Help for your program if you can't find it in the menu. It could be buried in the commands, or has to be turned on... again, IF it's available.

The help function can usually be found under the Help or About menu selection. Or a lot of times when you hit the function key F1.

The manufacturer's website can also be helpful in the support section if you didn't get the user manual. There you can access the user manual or user guide, and even get some technical support for such a question in some cases (but not all that often... if you're good with the internet you may find there's a helpful forum or two out there that can be much more useful than the technical support section of the maker's website.. ).

Good luck!!!

Installed the JB5323 Jobar Slide & Negative Scanner into a Window's 7 Professional contained in my Dell and it will not give me all the different things it has. It won't convert the negative...

You don't need any special software or hardware to do this, and it's really easy too! Open one of the saved image files of the negative scan using Microsoft Paint. It's under Start -> Accessories.

Now click select in at the top, and then right click anywhere on the image. At the very bottom of the menu, there should be an 'invert colors' option. Click it. Your negative should now be a normal picture =).

Negative are scanning as negatives and are not converting to a photo??? PLease help

Negatives are supposed to scan as negative as it displays what you scan. Try going into the image/edit menus and find the effects/filters and choose negative. If you apply the negative effect/filter to your negative image it will become a positive image. Hey presto!

I have scanned several negative images to my computer easily but naively thought they'd be put in a full jpeg image so they would look like a proper photo image not a negative image. What do I need to do...

Once on the computer in negative format, only image manipulation softawares are capable of restoring to display impressions. For example, photo softwares are capable of restorations with anti colation fillin voids to achieve image regularity. However, transforming the negative to regular image makes jpeg formating very convenient thereafter.

Nef images instead of jpegs

Not sure I see a question as printed but I will assume you'd like some info on NEF versus JPG files. Simply put, if you're shooting simple pictures and just want to download, email, etc. then JPG will be fine. NEF produces an electronic equivalent negative meant to simulate a film negative. This gives you latitude to touch up the negative before printing and provides the most adjustment range and options. Many programs cannot use the NEF format so it will mean deciding how you want to save the pictures. Of course, they take up more file space as NEF - 10-12 MB instead of 6MB or so for big JPG files. I shoot all my pictures in NEF then convert them to JPG for normal use and printing. I burn the NEF to a CD or DVD for archive and future needs. All that takes up more space of course.

Problem with digital concepts teleconverter

The SX1 has an amazing 20X optical zoom. The teleconverter will allow to get pictures if the camera zoom is not fully on 20X. It means that you can't get a full 40X zoom images, but a 30X maybe. I don't why canon has this problem.

Negative/inverted pictures

If the images in the camera are inverted , then could mean repair or replacement is the remedy and I suspect only replacement will be the answer.
When you say Photo Gallery- do you mean as displayed in your computer after uploading?
If so then an image editor such Irfanview or Picasa will revert them.

I do not know of the picture perfect mode. In neg art mode the image will appear as a negative on the screen. If you open it to an image editing application with an invert image command in it, you will actually see what you would have seen had it been shot in normal mode. You can print it either way. If it looks like a neg on your screen then it will look like that on your print.
