Radio frequencies (they're not codes) are the same no matter what scanner or receiver you use. For a comprehensive database of active frequencies in your area, and a lot of other useful scanning information, visit:

Can a volunteer fire company refuse to put a fire out at your home if you dont donate money

Absolutely not. That's nothing more than a scam. I suggest that you contact the Mayor's office in your city/town and advise them if you have had that experience.

I just bought Volunteer Fire Truck # 1 at a yard sale in perfect condition.it is missing the ladders and I would like to purchase them.

Company is out of business. Similar fire truck recalled in 2002 for lead paint hazard. See:

Not sure if your model has lead paint. You should have it tested.

I have PRO-2033 Radio Shack scanner, where can I get police & fire codes for this in Philadelphia, PA area

For a comprehensive database of active frequencies (they're not codes) in your area, and a lot of other useful scanning information, visit:
www.RadioReference.com

The Philadelphia area has likely moved to trunked radio systems in the 800MHz band, and your scanner is not capable of receiving such signals, so you'll be limited in what you can tune in with your PRO-2033.

Is there a standard height for a manual pull station in a school

Most local codes adhere to fire pull stations being mounted 44 inches from the floor to the top of the detector. However your city, county or township is normally considered the Authority Having Jurisdiction and will supersede any state and national codes. It would be best to contact them before mounting the detector.

When in the MO mode, I hear nothing. In the FM mode, I hear everything. I want just to listen to local FD. I have their codes loaded in. Just doesn't seem to scan the channels when in MO. What am I doing...

MO is for monitoring MOtorola trunking systems and will only work if you have programmed a system into your scanner. Most fire departments are using conventional, (FM) transmissions, not trunked systems - mainly so that volunteers and neighboring departments can follow the action and respond if needed. I have a motorolla jt100 with no sound

Since you are receiving the weather (Wx) channel, the radio appears to be receiving fine. It might be that your fire frequencies are not programmed into the radio. Check your programming, as well as checking your scan list. The Wx channel should not be included in the scan list, as there is constant radio traffic on this frequency, and your radio would get stuck there during the scan process.

Error code 503

All you can do yourself is have your phone/fax lines checked out by your phone company. Make sure that fax has it's own dedicated, non-digital, phone line. If you're dialing in to machines that are on digital lines or is some new piece of equipment, then there may be connection issues and there isn't much you can do about it.
