F61 in the user manual says , check your speaker connections if ok then see your dealer, the reason f61 comes up is a amplifier fault , most likely a blown audio amplifier ic is faulty, and needs replaceing by a compenent electronic technician.

try cleaning out the fan and make sure it spins freely. If the unit detects that the fan isn't spinning it will shut off.

Panasonic Dvd stereo system model number SA-VK960 power supply is defective. is it possible to repair?

Your Panasonic SA-VX uses a Switch Mode Power Supply ( SMPS ). Do not ever attempt to fix it yourself unless you are well versed in electronics. ou can damage the system seriously. Seek professional help.

Hi. I have a panasonic SA-PT860 dvd theatre system. Everytime you turn the on/off button it states that I have an F61 fault. I have looked in the manual and it says to check speaker connections. I have...

- Is your system playing in spite of this error?

Assuming that this is the model complete with "receiver" and speakers+sub and you use these and the original connections. You could try and measure your ohm level on each speaker to control if there is a bad/blown speaker. The Ohm level should be the same on each speaker - roughly.
- Hope this will get you somewhere!

Would any one be able to get a part #, cost for the regulator, for my Panasonic SA-CH94M? I believe this is the culprit with the F61 error code. Thanks!

the F61 error on panasonic home theatres can mean 1 of 4 things, its either you have the wrong speakers plugged into the wrong port (yes apparently this matters check correct speaker placement), the fans are not working at all or working poorly (simply clean with circuit board cleaner or replace fan you may have 1 or 2) if none of the above then you have the worst one wich is one of your power amplifier IC chips somewhere on the main circuit board has died (good luck fixing that one) obviously varies from model to model this is based on th SA-HT545 and the SA-PT450. Sometimes a new HDMI cable will solve this issue.

If the cables are good, then the easiest possible fix would be to clean or replace the rear electric fan. I had the same problem and after replacing the fans my unit works like new. I called panasonic to order the fans because these type of fans you can not buy out of any store. The rear fan is also an upgrade to a better bigger fan. Part numbers are: L6FAJCCH0007 $19.12 (side fan) RFKZHT540E $28.35 (Rear fan) total shipped to me was $61.43.

Happy Holdays! Dont forget the feedback! Thanks!

Panasonic sa-ak630. i turn it on an display said f 61 an turns back off all in a matter of a second or two... wires are all good.. and even just left everything unhooked an still no help... manual said...

F61 is the shorthand for Panasonic machines to mean protect mode. See the link below for a generic explanation of protector. Specifically, in your machine, either the regulator IC has failed or the output amp IC has failed. In any case, the repair will not be cheap. The output IC costs between $75-$125 depending upon the specific IC.

F61 error

If memory serves me correctly, the F61 message is teh shorthand for protect mode. There is a problem with the output section that is being detected. The unit shuts down to prevent additional damage to either the amp section or the speakers. I'll look up your specific model for more details. In the meantime, check the speaker wires to be sure that they are not frayed and crossed.
