Question about Meritline MusiX (128 MB) MP3 Player
Your next step is to open it by removing the screws on the back panel and letting it air dry ( some sun will speed up the process). If the battery is removable, then I suggest removing the battery as soon as possible. Let it dry for a few days (longer if you live in a humid area). This will prevent any shorts in its circuitry. If this does not help, then it most likely shorted something out and fried a component.
