This probably has something to do with a dirty fuel filter or the air pressure. Check the fuel filter and clean or replace if necessary. If that doesn't help, check the air pressure. The black box on back of the blower motor has 2 ports. One screw has a hole in it and is used to adjust the air pressure. The other doesn't have a hole and is where you can install a pressure guage to check the pressure. The required pressure is listed on the label on the side of the heater. If you can't get the pressure high enough, the air filter may be dirty or there may be a problem with the compressor. Let me know if you need to know anything about the compressor.

The heater runs but it pulses when it burns

The first thing I would do is to clean burner ports and make sure that outlet screen is clean and free of any carbon build up. I would also make sure that fuel is fresh and filter is clean. Hope this helps you. Thanks

When filled with kerosene then plugged in, the heater will kick on for about 3 seconds and the fan will run but it will not ignite, then it shuts off. reddy heater 55, 55000btu. runs on K1 or fuel oil.

I have an older 100,000 btu Reddy unit that was pulsing. Put new diesel in and problem went away for awhile. Now pulsing again.

might have a clogged fuel filter. try to drain and replace. run fresh fuel. the pulse also could come from too much fuel causing a burst in the main heat exchanger. if this heater is older than ten years i would trash it and buy a new one so you dont blow up
