plugged into mains as in plugged into power in wall? since we don't have a model number can you check to see if there's a power switch or button on the back of that drive?
First be sure it is plugged into a working outlet, try another power cord (a 3 wire computer cord will work) look on and around the PC board for vdebris. If these don't help byou probably need a tech.
if that nothing happen ..this means that you do not plugged it in a right kinda usb ...so ...change the usb and reinstall the driver it has to at least make a noise when it sees the new unit... also ...the camera needs to be powered and on ...and in the right mode...( view picks) all that done ...and still no action ...just change the cable cause its damaged... you can also use a card reader to download picturesw if the camera uses a SD card ..
I PLUGGED IN MY MP3 PLAYER TO THE COMPUTER AND THE SCREEN ON MY MP3 PLAYER LIGHTS UP BUT the normal screen image for when you normally plug it into the computer ISN'T THERE AND I CAN'T ADD MUSIC ON MY MP3 PLAYER.
If you can check the rechargeable batteries try that. If you plug it into a wall socket with the adapter and nothing happens you might have other major problems. Just a little education: when you buy something especially from other countries alway check it before leaving to make sure it works. Unless there is a company that you can send the warranty unit to you may be out of luck. Sorry.
