If possible try hooking the WII up to another TV. If the problem persists, try replacing the hookup cables. If that doesn't help , your unit might need service

The wii console will not turn on. I checked the

There is an inner batter on the side of the console.

Try to unplug the system from both connections (wall and system ) let it sit for about 5min or so. This should give it time to discharge any charge currently in the block. Plug it into the wall first then the system and try turning it on again. Other than that you may need a new AC power adapter. If both of those aren't it send it in to nintendo.

No sound on wii

Hello :

1: Make sure you have the volume on the TV turned up and the audio-video connections plugged into the same-colour plugs. Sound only kicks-in once you are at the Wii menu. If this doesn't work, continue to step 2.

2. Test the Wii with another TV. If you have sound there, then it is possible that the HDTV's sound inputs plugs are damaged. Send your HDTV off for repairs.

3. If the Wii does not work with the other TV, then it is likely that the audio cables are damaged. Order a replacement from Nintendo (instructions are in the Wii user's guide)

good luck .

My son was using his wii when the power suddenly went out on the TV and the wii. The TV started working again, but the wii did not. I've checked all the connections and unplugged and plugged everything in,...

Did you have a power surge? Unplug the power supply from the wii and the wall for five mins. Then plug it back in and try it out. Have heard of this working for some people.

When I turn the Wii on it makes no sound

Check to see if the audio cables from the Wii to the TV might have come loose or unplugged.

If you have a friend with a Wii, see if their cable connecting the Wii to the TV works. Your cable might have gone bad.

My wii wont turn on checked connections all seem fine

You may need to reset your power cable. Disconnect the cables from both your Wii and the wall and TV so they are not connected to anything and let them sit for 10-15 minutes. This does what Nintendo calls a power cable reset and should fix the error.

I cant turn my wii on at all, checked connections all plugged in but no power

Unplug all of the cables from the Wii and the wall and TV for 10-15 minutes. This is like a reset for the power cable and, once you do this, it should work fine.

No picture but sound is good. Screen is black

Do you feel static electricity on the screen when you turn it on? If you do, you have vertical output failure. If you do not, then the likely failure is the high voltage power supply.
