pull it open from the top... squeeze the top sides of the lighter part and pull it down like a drawbridge. If they installed it correctly, it wont rip off the wall.

Kohler soap dispenser leaks onto counter

Your dispenser nut is either not tightened down underneath or your plastic base/o-ring needs to be replaced. Turn off water at value. Using sink nut removal & installation tool that is available at any Lowe's or Home Depot. Remove it and look at what is wrong. Conntact Kohler for free parts to repair it. Reinstall dispenser .

I have an AEG 72640. It is taking the fabric conditioner in the 2nd rinse instead of the last and the clothes are not coming out smelling of fabric conditioner. How can I solve this?

Hi. The problem will be one or more of the holes in the top of the soap dispensor (view with drawer out) will be partially blocked causing water to squirt into to one side and fill softener compartment. Dont overfill with softener stay below max level. Holes are not easy to unblock use large paper clip ,bent to allow you to poke holes clear.

BELT INSTALLATION

the way you install the belt is different depending on the model - the most common kind is whirlpool and kenmore. to install the belt on them you must first pull out the dryer filter on top and then unscrew using a phillip head screwdriver, the two screws on top underneath it. then with a flat head screw driver pop the front up off the dryer. Next you must unscrew the two front inside corner screws using a 1/4 or 5/16 and unsnap the right side lid switch wires. lift up and out to take the front of the dryer loose. now you can put the new belt around the tub and loop it around the bottom belt guide to the moter. Follow the steps in reverse to put everything back together.

My lever on my single handle kohler shower faucet is very, very loose. How do I tighten the lever. I don't see any screws or place for an allen wrench

There should be a screw hidden under a cap. depending on the model/style it may be as small around as a pencil diameter or as large as a half dollar (the larger is most common on acrylic handles) Just gently pry this off and you should find a phillips screw underneath.

How do i get the ignition switch off my 1997 vw golf i took off the safety boly steering wheel and all plug conectors just left with shaft and spring

This is a how-to from VWVortex.com

You WILL need the following,
10MM wrench
13MM wrench and socket or another wrench.
a eyeglasses phillips head screwdriver. (very small)
a regular size phillips head screwdriver
new ignition switch
vice grips (may not need them)
Instructions.
1. lock the steering wheel, and make note where it was just incase.
2. disconnect the battery with 10mm wrench.
3. remove the plastic around/behind the steering wheel by the two screws underneath using a phillips head screw driver.
4. now go under the dash, and remove the plastic peices covering up the steering wheel axel. and unscrew the bolt using a 13MM wrench&socket. Its a "U" joint.
5. Unplug everything behind the wheel including the ignition and the airbag.
6. using a vice grip, or your fingers if it is loose, to unscrew a gold bolt on the left side of the steering wheel column, its right behind the steering wheel on left underside.
7. Gently pull out the steering wheel, and the whole thing, including the axel, and steering wheel will comeout, be careful the end of it is greasy.
8. now with a small screwdriver (phillips), eyeglasses size is what i used, remove the screw where the ignition switch is, its a pretty long screw so it may take some time and it the switch wont come out until its fully unscrewed.
9. replace everything opposite of how it was took out.
Note- when your putting the steering wheel axel back, be sure to put back the large spring and align the axel correctly.

Headlight adjustment

the screws for adjusting the headights are right next to the lights, they are phillips heads and are for adjusting the side to side,
the adjusting screws for the up and down, are on the bottom of the headlights, and they are a small hole in the grill trim, these lights need a pretty long skinny screwdriver with a phillips head

Soap Dispensor does NOT open.

This is almost always a dispenser problem. The dispenser is replaced as a unit. you can reach it by removing the Phillips screws around the inside of the door and lifting up the inner door panel. The dispenser's frame is held in place with tiny (1/8 in or 5.5mm) screws.
