Theres no sounds everytime im using media player

1) Go to: Start > Settings > Control Panel > Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices > Audio tab 2) Check what's under "Sound playback: Default device" and "Sound recording: Default device". It these fields are grey and non-clickable, then most probably the audio card driver is missing or less probably the audio card itself is broken. 3A) If you have an original CD of your computer, motherboard, or audio card, insert the CD and install the driver from it. 3B) Or alternatively insert the CD and go to: Start > Settings > Control Panel > Performance and Maintenance > System > Hardware > Device Manager, find any unidentified device in the list, or expand the "Sound, video and game controllers" branch, identify the Audio card > Right click > Update driver... > Install the software automatically > Next 3C) Or alternatively download and install a free driver updater software, e.g. http://www.innovative-sol.com/drivermax/index.htm - let it scan and update all your missing drivers. P.S. These steps mentioned above are for Windows XP, but will be quite similar on other Windows versions, too.

My pc has not play the sound there is in errer says there is no mixer device avalible so what can i now?

You need to find the correct drivers for your motherboard if it is on board sound device, or the drivers for your sound card. If you could elaborate on what motherboard or sound card you had, it would be helpful. Also details on what operating system.

Alternatively, I believe a USB speaker/headphones will work immediately, the moment you plug them into the machine, once the machine has configured it itself.

While looking for a virus problem (now fixed) a computer store seems to have disconnected my sound card which now gives no audio and doesn't appear under Devices. I tried downloading a new driver and this...

You don't have to re-connect the sound card as its inbuilt into the motherboard

all you got to do is re-install the driver from the Drivers & Utility CD that you might have got from the computer manfacturer

Else download it from the following site by checking the model no of the motherboard

How can i make the audio out work on the Plextor px-708uf?

Hi,
dependant on your Sound Card.
do you have the cable connected From The DVD Drive ( spdif digital ) Or analogue audio Cable ? this is a thin cable usually grey/white cable coloured red/black/ground or earth.
This connects from The DVD to the motherboard ( CD ) Or to your Sound Card ( CD Or IN ) If you don,t have this Cable connected you won,t get Sound from DVD To Sound card or on-board Sound from The motherboard. Also check your sound-cards drivers Are Installed correctly. Finally open the sound manager In My Computer, And check that a device is selected, Or Isn,t Muted.

This should Solve Your problem.

you may need to install the drivers for the devices you lost after you wiped out your drive, try running the cd that came with your motherboard if the sound card is built in on the mobo.

you could also download the drivers online through the mobo's manufacturer site.
if your computer is not online yet download it to a computer that can go online and place the drivers on a thumb drive or a CD then run it on your computer.
