Question about Pioneer Avic-x920bt GPS Receiver

2 Answers

I have installed an AVIC-X-920BT into a 2000 Toyota 4-Runner. Once installed, not all of the ICONS are available - example address entry on GPS (however, POI icons, etc. are lit). Any thoughts? All speakers work correctly. I have the VSS hooked to gray w/blue stipe, parking brake to light green and revrese sensor to red w/yellow stripe. Are these correct?

VSS is on pin #6 of 22pin ECU plug located behind the glovebox, and is GN/OG

Parking brake wire should be RD/WT at the parking brake SWITCH.

I think you have it hooked up correctly, but I would say that if some icons are missing, the signal may not be getting to the unit for the respective icons.

make sure the back window is all the way up then try the wiper, if it still does not work then it is a sensor for the rear window (about $30.00) if you installed it yourself

The e-brake wire is required for these settings to be available. It has to be wired in as a safety measure. (So that the brake is engaged when you are fumbling with the settings, and not driving)
