    Rick,

I am still having this problem. Wires don't seem to be loose. Shaking the fridge or flipping the door plunger switches seems to have no effect. It comes on and off when it wants to. I am thinking it's related to a relay or timer circuit. Is there a board or something that can be replaced?

If the light is working intermittently then there has to be a wire that is loosely connected into the light itself check this diagram on piece 410a to assure that it is makeing a good connection http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/partsdirect/showSubComp.pd?imageUrl=http%3a%2f%2fc.searspartsdirect.com%2flis_png%2fPLDM%2fK0810256-00001.png
also you can do a power test on the wire with tripping the switch by pushing it in and leaving it out to assure that you are getting power to the light when the switch is not depressed if you have any further questions please message me back and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped when our chat has concluded Thanks again Rick

on the lgs i have actually seen that wire that goes to the light be 1/16"away from where it is supposed to seat in the connector and cause the same exact situation use a multimeter to measure what you have coming out of the connector if it is fluctuatiing then also did you do a continuity test by removing the switch and doing this test directly on the switch? the pcb that controls that switch should be at 501 but i dont think it would be the pcb because of the flickering sounds more like a loose wire or bad conection Thanks Rick

if it were the pcb it just wouldnt work at all

Water under fridge sometimes

You may want to remove all the food, unplug your fridge, and the out the whole thing...melting the ice and cleaning out all the unwanted water. The drawer will be removable, and you can dry under it. Also check the overflow tray under the fridge, if there is one...it'll be full from all the melting.

Food keeps freezing in my fridge. Even at the lowest temp.

in the fridge compartment check behind the control panel where the light bulbs are remove this cover and make sure the damper vent door opens and closes when adjusted with the fridge control sometimes they ice up from condensation and freeze in one position and this may let too much cold air in from the freezer for too long, otherwise it also could be a defective electronic control board in this same area

Amana AFD2535DEW freezer/refrigerator with intermittent tempurature swings

I had the same issue. It was the relay overload which essentially provides the extra boost to get the compressor going. The switch tries for about 10 seconds before giving up and then retries 3 - 4 minutes later. In the early stages of failure, eventually it will work and the compressor will kick on. But eventually the switch will fail and will just cycle through the 10 second attempt every 3 to 4 minutes. The part is about $35 - part number 67005560.

Refrigerator compartment not cooling

If you are sure the fan in the freezer is running and you don't feel any air flow out of the top middle vent inside the fridge section, then the damper motor must be bad. The damper motor is behind that vent cover inside the fridge section.
