Sounds like either the device needs the software updated, your computer is running slow, your internet connection is slow, or your usb port is going bad. Switch to another usb port, check your internet connection speed, or update the device firmware.

I installed Magicjack on my Samsung Galaxy 3 and it was working no problem. Now I get magic jack network error 20 and it wont work.

The website you are trying to logon to is blocking access or you have installed anti-virus software. If your magicJack reads "Error 20", please make sure that you have allowed exceptions on your Firewall/Antivirus for magicJack. For fixes go to this page
What Is Voice Over IP Frequently Asked Questions magicJack
and put in error 20 in the search box and press enter. You can download the pdf file which has the solutions for the most common Firewall/Antivirus programs.
It is 86kb long, so is too long to reproduce here.

The voice of the person talking to me over Magic Jack breaks up. It is as though the sound fades in and out making it impossible to understand what the person is saying.

magic jack can be a funny beast....on my quad core 10GHz AMD box under Windows 7 or XP, it 'll break up like crazy, but I built a 1.5GHz single core P4 under XP and it works flawlessly on it...so that box does nothing but the magic jack now. Yup, got a BIG phone box under the desk...lol...

Calls cutting out with magic jack

Your ISP connection speed may be inadequate. Typically, the upload speed (outgoing voice) is much slower than the incoming speed. To check majicjack recommends that you test your system on http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ .
It's also possible that your internet provider is purposely delaying the outgoing latency in order to discourage VoIP that THEY don't provide. I think this is (or at least should be illegal) but in any case a complaint to the FCC might be in order.

Machine not sending information.

Yes, most definately so. There are ways to boost the output signal of your machine but these days nobody has had to do it because lines are much clearer in the western hemisphere. The Magic Jack is great for voice calling but the faxes need instant responses from each other to progress through the initial training protocol and onto the document transmission. You may, if you have one, try another magic jack. It could be down to your particular Magic Jack. Try faxing without the Magic Jack.

Voice on both end cuts in and out when using the magic jack

Thanks for getting back with me. I have not found a solution to the problem, but have found out what the problem is. The problem is the jitter. The data is not sent out in a constant stream, but is broken up and sent out. My jitter was measured as 201.9 ms, which indicates that it is too unpredictable to sustain a constant flow of data. Now I need to know how to fix that.
