I cant play my ps3 on my sanyo tv

make sure everything is plugged in correctly. also make sure that the input/source of your tv is correct. If all these don't work, then: 1. unplug both the tv and the ps3 2. plug them both back in 3. turn the tv on first make sure it is on the right hdmi source. 4. turn the ps3 on by holding down the power button for about 10 seconds until it beeps.
the ps3 start screen should show up now.

My samsung tv wont connect to my ps3 through the hdmi cable, the tv works if i connect my laptop or anything else to it. iv tried my ps3 on my lg an it work just fine just cant get it to work on my samsung...

When you have PS3 connected to the TV with HDMI connector, hold the ps3 power button down for 5 seconds, when u hear 2 beeps, release it and it should display standard format on the TV, thats when you'll get the option to correct the picture mode for the PS3. Hope that helps.

Can I play my Ipod on my Lg tv through the ipod

Not if the USB port on the TV says "SERVICE" next to it. At least I don't think that it would work. But go ahead and try it. It can't hurt anything.
Plug it in and toggle through the input modes to see if there's an extra one showing your Ipod. Or look within the MENU settings to see about turning on or accessing the USB port as a video input.

I lost my av cord but i have a hdmi cord how ill it change so i can see what im doing because i cant see anything

Sorry, I initially posted this under the wrong help topic. You should try holding the on/off button for a few seconds until you hear 3 beeps. This should force the ps3 to recognize whatever video connection you have. If you switch back from hdmi to another type (component or composite) this will be have to be done again.

Lines on tv and a buzzing noise when the ps3 is turned on

then the only thing left to deal with is the system what you can do is send your system to the sony department and have them do a service check to see if anything is wrong with your ps3

You will have to buy a new cable... there really isnt a fix for a/v cables. with shipping and handling they are like 6 bucks on ebay... Im sure you can also find them at a local electronics store... maybe not quite as cheap though..... sorry there isnt a fix for this... but this is definately the solution :D ... Good luck :D.... Please rate well! :) if you have anymore questions, feel free to ask!

Ps3 freezes before getting to main menu!!

Try Accessing the Ps3 Recovery Menu
Turn off Ps3
Hold the power button down; the system will turn on and turn off once again
Once the system has been shutdown, re-press your finger until you hear 2 consecutive (quick) beeps
When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button
You will be prompted to plug in your controller via usb and then hit the ps button
The recovery menu will pop up

Recovery menu
* restart system
* restore default settings
* restore file system
*rebuild database
*restore ps3
*system update
Now I was not sure which one to choose. I clicked restart system and that did NOT work so I clicked restore ps3 and lost everything but it DEFINITELY WORKED!!
