Any remote control I use, for the stereo, the cable box etc. causes the tv to go blank for .5 to 4 seconds every time I hit a button on the remote control. Can this be fixed?"

Thank you, but as I stated in the problem though, this occurs with my cable box remote - the one I use to change the channel, volume etc. when I am watching tv. It just started a few months ago. I can't not use my remote or I can't change the channel or volume. The problem also occurs with my original factory tv remote control. When I hit a button the tv screen goes blank for a short while - a half a second to a few seconds. Please advise.

Hello

The remote control you uses with other devices have the same infrared ray frequency to cause your screen to freeze. There is no other way than not to use these remote control in the vicinity of the device that freezes, or cover the infrared wnsor window, with some opeque material, so that the rays cannot pass through to freeze it.

    Hello
Wwhen we change channels of any tv from one to another, a short pause, say of about 1/2 of a second will occur and it is normal for any brand or model of TVs. But fir it takes more time to stablize the picture when we cnage the channesl, there is a chance of trouble in AGC ie [Augomatic Gain Control] circuit in the TV circuit also. Here you uses set top box to select the channels. I dont't know which connecton confuguration have you made to TV with set top box.
There is two confugurations, one is connect ite set top to TV with [AV cable] or [S-video cable], [Component video ie [Pb-Gb-Rb].] , or by set top boxe's [RF out] itself to the tuner of your TV.
More clearly to clarify, if the connections are made as the former 3 type said above, and the fault occurs as you described, the trouble is with the cable box itsef. If the connection is done as stated the last [RG out of set top box to RF in to TV] and the fault you steted occurs, it is sure that your TVs AGC section as stated above; should be looked into.
For anymore clarifications needs, feel free to contact me through fixya. OK

This universal remote (or the TV's original remote) should have an Input button, which allows you to switch the various inputs available on the TV (such as HDMI, composite, over-the-air, cable, etc). You can try hitting Input until you see a picture, but be sure to turn on any devices connected such as set top boxes, DVD players, etc.

Need remote code for symphonic tv. Have living solutions giant remote

Programming a Living Solutions Universal Remote
  1. Step 1 Turn on the component you wish to sync to your universal remote--your television, DVD player, VCR or stereo.
  2. Step 2 Point the remote at the device you are programming and press the corresponding device button on the remote. These buttons are labeled "TV," "VCR", "DVD," etc. Hold the device button for three to five seconds.
  3. Step 3 Push the power button on the remote. This should turn on the device that you are syncing.
  4. Step 4 Push the "Channel Up" or "Channel Down" button on your remote gradually until the device that you are programming shuts off.
  5. Step 5 Press "OK" or "Enter" on the remote once the synced device turns off.
  6. Step 6 Press the device button for the component you just programmed, and hit the power button while pointing the remote at the component. If programmed correctly, the device should turn on, and you should be able to control it with your Living Solutions Universal Remote.

I need the code for the remote control for my new tx-l32u10ba tv so i can use the sky remote. thanx M

so about universal remote controls:

YOU SHOULD FIRST READ THE USER MANUAL OF THE SPECIFIC UNIVERSAL REMOTE CONTROL. ( i myself have an universal remote control and i lost its manual and appliance code table... so i can`t do anything with it.... )

1. each universal remote control has its own table with supported TVs, DVDs, STEREOs, VCRs etc.
2. For each brand of equipment (e.g.: Samsung TV, Phillips STEREO, Sony VCR) the universal remote control has a set of codes which you must input in the universal remote control and see how good it works; keep the code whith which the universal remote control that does the most.
3. There is also a quick search mode where you keep the SET button pressed for X seconds or press the SET button and the appliance you want to control or press SET button and input a code that defines the type of appliances you want to control and hit the power button each 2-3 seconds. if the appliance reacts then press any other button.

I want to go from ant to cable how do i reprogram i dont have the

There are two ways you may do this. First, if you have a cable box then all you have to do is hook up your cable box to any of the input and go to that input on your TV and it should come up. Second, if you do not have a cable box, hook up the cable coax to your coax on the TV. On your TV, hit the menu button, then go to TV selection, then scroll down to tuner mode and select cable, then auto scan. once scan is complete, your cable is ready to watch.

Thanks but i need more help

Don't be panic.
Check the batteries of your remotes control. FIRST
Be sure to aim the control to the sensor of your tv.

Usually you have one remote for your tv and the other to control the cable box or digital box.

You have to set the RMC10 again using the code of your tv Silvania (like the first time)
Then set your tv on channel 3

Another thing, be sure that you are hitting the right buttons.
The control doesn't work if you hit on the top any key instead of cable
What i mean?

The remote has on the top 4 key usually (tv, cable, vcr, aux, etc).
You must hit first cable to set the control to cable

1, Manually turn on the device(TV, VCR, etc.) to be controlled.
2. Press and hold the code search button until the red indicator stays on, then release the code search button.
3. Press and quickly release the desired mode button (TV, VCR, ect.). The red indicator blinks off once.
4. Press the Channel up button repeatedly(up to 300 times) until the device to be controlled changes channel. The red indicator blinks off with each button press. If you accidentally overshoot the code required, press channel down button to backtrack through the library until device changes channel. Pressing Channel up changes direction forward again.
5. Press and release Mute to install code.

The code you want is 11610. Buy a remote that can accept this code.
