May be the drivers are not installed if so install the drivers which will be available in the manufacture cd given to you at the time of purchase ...
you can check the audio driver is installed or not from the following :
control panel >(classic view) sound & audio devices ....
if you have installed the audio driver it will display in this other wise it will display that no audio driver installed ....
if you already installed but also if it is displaying like that means there must some conflict in the drivers you can check that from the following :
control panel> (classic view)system>hardware>device manager
in this check the multimedia audio codecs are installed or not ...
check is there any conflict by going to the properties by clicking on the audio codecs ....
if so reinstall the driver by uninstalling it .......

or there may be some problem in the speakers pin which you insert it to the audio port or you might have connected to the wrong port( you must connect it to the green port) or the audio device might have got disabled in the bios settings just go to bios (by pressing F2 at the time of booting)
& check it if the audio device is disabled or enabled ....
if it is disabled then just make it enable .....

these are all the possibilities just have a check with these basically .....

if these are seem to be correct then there is only one last chance the capacitor near by the audio port is burnt out so just open the motherboard & check it is there any burnt mark or smell ...(something there will be no burnt mark )
after this just have a check that the audio device pins are connected to the motherboard header or not there will some small 10 or 9 different pins which must be correctly connected to the header .if they are not connected then also the audio doesnt work ......

if the capacitor is gone then you must get it replaced by the motherboard technician ....

just by having the check with these your problem will be solved

any doubts reply me
i am always here to assist you
thank you

How to i instal sound drive for my pc?

Hello

1. Power on your computer. Ensure that there is a sound device installed on your computer. You can locate your sound device by right clicking on "My Computer." Click "Properties." Select "Device Manager." Click on "Sound." Your sound device should be listed. If there is no sound device listed, you will have to purchase and install a sound device before proceeding.

2. Insert the CD or floppy disk that contains the drivers for your sound device into your computer's CD-ROM or floppy disk drive. If you do not have the CD or floppy disk that contains the sound device drivers, there are websites such as Driver Guide and NoDevice that will allow you to download the drivers online for free.

3. Click on "Install Drivers." The sound device drivers will then be installed onto your computer. It may be necessary to restart your computer once the installation is complete.

4. Open your media player and play an audio file to ensure that your sound device drivers were installed successfully.

How to Reload Sound Drivers

Instructional steps
  1. 1 Download the installation package for your sound driver from your sound card's manufacturer to a location on your hard drive, such as your desktop. Locate the installation package on your hard drive if you already have the file on your computer.
  2. Open the Windows "Start" menu and click "Run" to open the Run dialog. In Windows Vista and 7, locate the "Run" option by selecting "All Programs" in the "Start" menu and opening the "Accessories" folder.
  3. Type "devmgmt.msc" (without quotations) into the Run dialog. Press "Enter" or click "OK" to open the Device Manager. Click "View" and select "Devices by Type" to arrange the installed devices by their type. Double-click "Sound, Video and Game Controllers." Locate the name of your sound card from the list of installed sound devices and double-click it to open the properties dialog for the device.
  4. Click the "Driver" tab in the properties pane to view the device's driver options. Click "Uninstall" to remove the current driver installation. This step prevents possible conflicts when you reload sound drivers on your computer.
  5. Close the Device Manager after the process of uninstalling the sound driver is complete. Navigate to the location on your hard drive where you saved or stored the installation package for your sound card. Double-click the installation file. The installation package will automatically install the driver again. After the installation process, restart your computer if directed to do so.

For example, if you were using speakers, try a different pair of speakers or a set of headphones to make sure that the problem is not related to the sound device.

No sound , sound drivers are working

Most common reasons for this trouble are:
  • Such kind of troubles arise after some device / software is installed which tries to gain control as default sound device.
  • Also while un-installation of certain softwares, some shared files are removed. At times some important shared file can be deleted which causes troubles with working of sound drivers.
  • While installing certain games, it tries to gain control of sound or video drivers and may accidentally harm these driver softwares.
Lets see the ways to fix such troubles

Step1 : First of all check what is your default audio device setting. For this, open Control Panel > Sounds and audio devices, open Audio tab as shown in picture below.
774a71c.jpg
See that the Device selected is your sound-card or on-board audio device. It should not be blank or some modem device. Set the Default sound playback and sound recording device correctly from the drop down menu. If your device is not there in this list see the step 2.

Step2: If the step 1 is not successful, it means that your sound device driver software has become either corrupt or has been accidentally un-installed. In such case, install the sound driver from the sound-card/mother-board driver CD. You can also download the latest driver if you don’t have the driver CD. After you install the driver, restart your computer, and then check the settings as in step 1 again

Pci device drivers are not installed on my system i dnt know how to install. due to this my audio device is not working

Installing Sound/Audio Cards and Drivers Sound or audio cards, whether it is a stand-alone device inserted into an expansion slot or embedded sound controllers in the motherboard, require specific device drivers in order to function and produce sound. This low-level program is responsible for processing the data between the sound card hardware and the operating system.
Most sound cards are bundled with the appropriate installation CD when purchased. This disc contains a database of the manufacturer’s available sound device drivers at the time of purchase and includes the specific driver intended for the card purchased. Most discs have an autorun installation program that prompts users to start installation. Some only provide a database of drivers and let the Device Manager or Add Hardware applications in the operation system perform the task of installation.

If you dont know the type of driver that you have, please check the following link to help you:

I hope this is helpful.

Button for sound on my laptop dont work

The most likely causes for this is:
External Speakers not turned on. Turn them on...
Driver for the sound device isn't installed: If you see the little speaker icon down the bottom right hand corner of your screen (near the clock), your sound card device driver is working well.
If it is not visable, the sound card device driver may or may not be working. Go into the start button, select settings (if available), then control panel, Sounds and Audio Devices.
Select the Audio tab Ensure that you have a 'default device' set.
If you get any errors when going into the sound and audio devices tab stating that you have no audio devices installed, then its most likely a driver issue. In this case, refer to your local computer shop to have the audio drivers installed.

Driver for the keyboard sound function not installed or not running. Solution: Reboot then test it. Reinstall the driver, test it.
