Probably the sound driver is not working well or in other case your system sound card is corruputed. Check if its working well or purchase new card

do the speakers work fine on a different computer? if yes i would say try reinstalling the drivers for your sound card... if this doesnt fix it then the card could be bad. but before that.. you cant try plugging other speakers that work into that computer to see if the card is actually the problem.

as for the sound
control panel sounds and audio, volume you can adjust the volume or advanced, speakers select appropriate speakers or audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have selected the right speakers also
control panel, administrive tools, computer management, device manager scroll to sound, video and game cotrollers could be a yellow question mark? right click to re-install drivers

I cant get sound out of the speakers

Hi there bud...Try make sure you have the drivers installed for your Sound Card or motherboard...These should of come with the Sound card or Motherboard on a disk...Just run setup and install...if thats that the case here...what i suggest is try it on any other Pc that you know speakers have worked on...and if it does the same , then it could be that the speakers are faulty..
Hope this helped bud

I can't get my rear speakers to work with my new computer. The real tek sound car doesn't show my setup on there, what do I do?

Hi bud , Happy new year ...Have you made sure you installed all your drivers on your new PC for your soundcard , also make sure its a 5.1 channel Sound Card.otherwise if it isnt then your Rear one's would not work...Try also putting them in the right input jack , The Rear Speakers must be pluged into the black Input Jack in Sound card.
