If you get too far away from the sensor bar the "hand" will go all over the place. If you have the sensor bar that comes with the console you have to be within 15 feet If I remember. I use a wireless sensor bar that is good up to 25 feet.

I looked it up and if your using the sensor bar that comes with the Wii then you have to be 3-10 feet away.

Try reducing the amount of light or glare in the room. If light bounces around the room it can affect the sensor.

I need a parental control reset code

Hi there

Click the "Wii" button located on the bottom left corner of the screen on the Wii Main menu.

Click the "Wii Settings" button on the System Settings screen. Look for the button with the wrench icon.

Move to the second page of the Wii System Settings screen by clicking the blue arrow.

Click the "Parental Controls" button on the second System Settings screen.

Click "I Forgot" when asked asked to enter your four-digit PIN.

Answer the secret question displayed on the screen. You provided the question when you set up your Wii. Note that the answer to the question is case sensitive.

If you answer correctly, you'll have access to the Parental Control Settings. Reset your PIN on this screen by entering a new PIN number and a new answer to the secret question, then clicking OK.

Click "I Forget" if you can't remember the answer to the question. Nintendo displays a message screen with text telling you to contact Nintendo customer support. At the bottom of the screen is a confirmation number.

Write down the confirmation number so you don't forget it, and leave your Wii turned on with the confirmation number screen displayed.

Call Wii customer support at 800-255-3700. Tell Nintendo customer support your confirmation number. You'll receive a master key code to reset your parental control PIN. Write down the master key code.

Return to your Wii, and click the "Enter Master Key" button. On the Master Key screen, enter the five-digit master key you received from Nintendo customer support, then click "Confirm Master Key." The Wii displays a message stating that "Parental Controls are Now Disabled." Click "OK" for the Wii to return you to page two of the Wii Systems Setting screen.

Click the "Parental Controls" button on the Wii System Settings screen. The Parental Controls screen will now show that you have no parental control settings enabled. Enter a new four-digit PIN number and secret question to reset your PIN, then click "OK."

Wii powers on..at start up screen press a to continue wii controllers/wii does nothing..batteries are all new in controllers..

Are your controllers sync'd with the Wii? In another words, on the bottom of the Wii Controllers are 4 blue lights. Is one of those four lights illuminated? If not, it will not know that you're pressing it -- you will have to sync the wii remotes.

Our wii controllers are not reading the screen and when they do it wont stop blinking through screens..help please?

Try synchronizing your Wii-mote to your Wii. Open the battery compartment on the remote and the SD card door on the front of your Wii. Press the red SYNC button on your Wii and then on the controller. You know it is synced when a solid LED light is shining at the bottom of the Wii-mote.

One side of screen bounces

Other than a manufacturer defect, it may probably be EMI (elctro-magnetic interference).

Do you have a cell or other wireless device next to the TV? Perhaps a "weather monitor" that has a "remote" station outside?
A fluorescent lamp of some sort?

Move the Wii console to another position.

Use a "surge protector" for power instead of a "power strip". This will ground better, it is not a "surge" that is occurring.

Hope this helps!

Sensor bar malfunction

Check the room you´re playing in for InfraRed sources, strong lamps such as halogen type lamps emmit high IR radiation(heat), also mirrors shiny windows and sunlight can interfeer with the wiimotes IR sensitive CCD, try to eliminate as many of the IR sources as possible. Hope this helps

The Wii Controler Wrist Strap got ripped

go to any game store or anywhere that sells accessories for the wii (wal-mart) by a skin that comes with a strap they are usualy a little stronger looking, the skin will also prevent the remote from sliding out of you hand, i had the remote go flying while playing tenis once but i didnt have the wrist strap on, it bounced off the wall and came back to me and is still ok, they are pretty durable but the skin is the best way to go I wouold recommend a madcatz skin, they make the best recharge station right now and they are cheap and usualy a decent product.
