SOURCE: rohl 3810 faucet nut not engaging threads

Hi murphygm,

I'm Harvey the Master Plumber.

Your problem is: You have replaced a leaking Rohl cartridge in your kitchen faucet, but when you
replace the nut holding down the cartridge, the threads of the nut do not
engage. You have tried to push hard down on the cartridge while you turn the nut,
but to no avail.

Assuming you have the correct cartridge, I find it helpfull to take pictures with my cell (easily deleted later) as I disassemble to make sure I'm getting the new one in exactly right because there are only two reasons why the new cartridge won't go all the way in. 1 It's the wrong cartridge or
2 something's not right. Take the new one out and check that everything is correct, it's easy to make a small mistake. That's it.

SOURCE: Leaky faucet

Finding brand specific replacement parts in stock for a 20+ yo faucet without a Mod.# is quite the task, implying that you would have to do a side by side compareson/inspection. If in fact that part is not obsolete.
Maybe you should consider replacing the entire faucet.
Good luck

I have a R 3830 faucet and it does not change from spray to stream, it does both as the same time. Is there a rebuild kit for this problem, or what should I do to fix.

This function relies on water pressure. Remove the sprayer from the hose and check pressure. If good flow, replace the hand sprayer. If low flow from end of hose, remove hose from underside and check pressure going into hose. You may have blockage in the hose. Hose can be replaced by calling ROHL customer service at 800.777.9762

The fucet will no longer move from side to side

Take the handle off and remove the retainer cup remove the the spout clean and lube. If the faucet is very old I would go ahead and get a rebuild kit and do it all at one time.
