Here is a video to show you how to open the dryer. Use a putty knife instead of a flathead screwdriver.

Dryer is making an awful sound like a coin is stuck in drum???

On most dryers, the top pulls off straight up. Then you can see inside the housing, there are screws that hold the front on from the inside. If you take those out, the front comes off and you can check the drum seal area in the front and see if anything is there. Most use a set of guides to keep the drum aligned and those can wear out, they look like nylon blocks. Make sure you unplug it first.

Very loud during cycle

most top loading machines have clips that attachthe top to the front, pry up on top with small pry bar or screwdriver. if noise is a banging noise, you may have a spring that broke or came off underneath machine. i would check under washer before removing top.

GE DPXH46GA6CC gas dryer makes large humming noise in heat cycles and burning smell

Two things are likely going on here,1- something is dragging down your motor check for a twist in the belt, idler pulley bad, belt installed wrong or wrong belt. Also check your front drum felt and glides if the felt is bunched up that will drag down the motor. Now the smell you probably have some felt or lint in the burner clean it carefully you do not want to damage your igniter.

Maytag performa electric dyer makes dragging noise drum turns but acts like something catches and makes a dragging or scraping sound

assuming nothing is stuck around drum pull off the front and check the fan. If it is noisy for a few seconds after you stop the dryer then the fan may be stripped on motor shaft. while off you can check the front glides and the rear rollers

Money stuck inside drum making noise

The easiest way to access the area between the inner and outer drums is to take the front off. Instead of something being in the drum making the noise it may be the front felt pads that the front of the drum turn on. It makes the same noise. They are replaceable.

put the machine onto drain position if it still makes the noise it is something stuck in the pump check and clear filter if makes noise only when drum turning then is highley suspect bearings have failed.

My dryer is making a scratching noise like something is stuck behind the drum toward the front of the dryer. Any help?

The drum has a seal between the drum and the front panel of the dryer. You would need to remove the top then the front panel to gain access to replace or maybe clean the seal

Machine makes awful noise during any movement, spins very slowly, not enough to spin out. Making an awful noise, like stripped gears and won't drain

There are three reasons for such awful noise during spinning. Either the drum or the bearing turning the drum. Check for drum bearing failure if your washing machine is noisy on the spin cycle. Drum bearing failure is common when the bearing seals start allowing water to enter. You can take the belt off and spin the drum by hand, and if the drum rumbles, replace the bearings.

Thanks

Something rattling under the drum

Strangely enough, I found the problem to be in the motor. If the noise becomes pronounced during the high speed spin cycle, then that is the problem. I had a repairman out for mine and they wanted to replace the drum, however when I took off the back and removed the belt, I could turn the drum separate from the motor and could hear that the problem was in the motor bearing, not the drum. Hope this helps.
