We have the above dishwasher and recently it has been full of bubbles and overflowing out! We have used all the correct recommended products for it. we recently had an error code 301 on it any ideas

Check the float switch on the bottom inside the DW. Its a switch to keep the DW from overflowing. Should be able to pop the top off and clean out any debris that may have caused it to overflow.

I think that # 4 is the solution to your problem. Something isn't right with the world, the DW is thinking. The sticking float seems like the problem here. If not, consult the owners manual on the error message you receive if any.

Is their debris in air gap or in the bottom of the DW, where the drain is screened?

1. The air gap is usually located on top of the sink. Lift off the pretty cover, and unscrew the top cap nut. Is there rice and debris there? Remove it then. Reassemble and check it out.

2. The DW drains to the bottom of the unit where the pump is. This area is screened off so that the pump doesn't get clogging debris in it. is their leaf lettuce and stuff covering this? Remove that debris. Some times this area can only be accessed by removing the bottom spinning spray head. It comes off with a nut, possibly this nut is reverse thread. Reassemble when done looking for debris.

3. Is the drain line between the DW pump (located under the DW) and the waste pipe kinked? This line is a plastic corrugated line about 7/8" around the outside. It is a pumped waste and won't work if it is kinked, so unkink it.

4. Is the float stuck. This is a device on the bottom of your DW that tells the DW how much water is in the bottom of the DW basin. It looks like a mushroom. Gently move it up and down. Does it move freely or is it stuck? Unstick it.

Good luck.

How do I clean the drain filter assembly on may tag dishwasher mdb4651awb

Sometimes this can only be gotten to by unscrewing the bottom spray arm in the basin of the DW. First, look in the bottom of your DW to see if you can unclog the screen by hand. This is the Drain Filter Assembly. It screens the waste so the pump doesn't get clogged. If you swipe stuff on the bottom of the DW like that leaf lettuce and rice, this might help.

LG LDF8812 Diswasher - Self Cleaning Filter not cleaning itself

you should not have to use any type of screwdriver to remove filter. The rest of it , leave alone. Take both rotors out and run unit. Both rotors top and bottom should push water through at a good rate. If not, a blockage in water /motor line. I suspect the rotors simply need to be properly cleaned, If not rotating properly it will cause undesolved residue.

Dishes not getting clean, left with gritty residue. Could the filter be backed; if so how do I fix it?

Had the same problem with a GE Nautilus 3400 series.
Solution:

- In their manual, GE recommends not stacking tall dishes on the bottom right tray - this prevents the dishwashing powder from fully dissolving. Are you using the right detergent and rinse-agent ?

If your upper arm is not turning during wash (DW leaves residue on top-shelf items), do the following:

1) Empty the DW.

2) Pull down the rotating arm on the DW ceiling. Thoroughly clean the passageways (I had to tap it on the counter to break-down the sediments).

3) Inspect the mesh-screen filter located on the floor in the back - if it's backed up (ours was backed-up from the inside), you'll need to clean it by removing 4, 1/4" screws holding it to the DW floor and throughly cleaning it (I also unscrewed the plastic valve located on the bottom of the filter compartment). While you're at it, remove the plastic mesh on the DW floor (2 screws) and fish for any objects and sediments blocking the pump.

4) Replace filter and bottom mesh and operate the DW in "Rinse" mode.

5) Press the rotating arm back in and operate the DW in "Rinse" mode. Check rotation.

- Good Luck !
