Your pump should have a 20lb seperation ie. pump turns on at 20lb and off at 40lb or on at 50lb off at 70lb. under the cover of the switch theres two screws with springs under them.dont mess with the small one.the large one if you screw it down (right) will increase the pressure while maintaining the 20lb separation. one thing to keep in mind its fine to adjust the pressure BUT at the same time the air pressure in the tank needs to be adjusted to two lbs below the cut in pressure of the pump.

I believe the directions are in the top of the cover of the switch

How do I increase the pressure on my Flotec FP711OT-08. It is low 40s psi, can I move it up to 50 psi or high 50 psi? Water pressure throughout the house is low.

There may be a pressure setting on your outfit but My feeling is -- your problem will be low pressure on your water line. Most pressure settings is to keep from having too much pressure on what your running. For instance our city water pressure is 70 lbs but in order to keep my furnace boiler system at 16 lbs I have to install a pressure reducer.

If in the past your system can build-up pressure up to 40 psi even if the supply valve is open and water is being used in your house, then your pump impeller maybe already worn out that's why its pumping capacity was reduced.

My flotec pressure tank seems to be waterlogged, how do I recharge it?

I don't know your model. Generally, a newer pressure tank has a flexible bladder that separates the water from the air charge. If you have water on the top of your tank, the bladder has broken. It seems that Flotec tanks have replaceable bladders. Flotec Pressure Tanks
That is a link to a company that sells parts for theses tanks.

My shallow well pump starts and stops way to often. How much pressure should I have on my pressure tank

I would like to know what size tank you have and how you use it? I have always set my pumps pressure switch at 30 psi. on and 50 psi. off. But you may have different settings. What I do is set pressure in tank at 2 psi below on pressure. In my pump it is set at 28 psi. Hope this helps. Thanks

Maybe your check valve is letting water go back down the well.

Troubleshooting steps pg 13 in manual list several things.
Check air valve for leaks.
Flowtec has a customer service number:
1-800-365-6832

The manual says: "Your new pump has a 30/50 PSI
switch, so adjust the tank pre-charge pressure to 28 PSI.:
But the manual does not say or show how to adjust pre-charge pressure.
The 30/50PSI means the pump turns on when pressure falls to 30, and then runs until pressure rises to to 50. So the switch is preset and not adjustable.

I'm looking for (3) new Flotec FP217-1140 Low Pressure Cut-Off switches. Can't seem to find online anywhere, are not available at Home Depot here in Kauai, Hawaii. Can you help?

This switch is the same as the Cutler Hammer CHWPS3050DL or Square D 9013FSG2J21M4.
Try searching for one of those and you should find the switch you need.

Flotec Sump Pump Tethered Float - Float seems faulty. Easy fix?

it sounds like it could be a bad float switch but most of the time the water isn't high enough for the pump to turn on. it takes alot of water to turn on a tethered float. the other pumps they sell at lowes with a real float (like the one in the toilet) are adjustable and also replicable. .
