1 Answer

Hi, I recetly purchased an X-700. Every thing seems OK except that the shutter speed control knob seems loose. I mean it works allright but can move up and down, can tilt .... I dont know if how to describe. I do not see the firmness I expect. Thank you so much AJ

There's a little silver ring on the inside with two little notches in it. try putting a toothpick or something small in one of these notches and turning it to the right to tighten it.

If hard reset didn't work I think it will be some problem in the hardware. best thing would be giving I to lg showroom if you have your warranty they will do it for free.

Mixer is stuck on top speed, whipped up marshmellows for 15 minutes

It may be a mechanical problem and it may be a problem with the small circuit board inside the machine. In order to inspect the mechanism, remove screw #23 and then remove the cover #24. Look for a spring item #4, which will be attached to the bottom of the control plate assembly, item #28. If it is not there then the plate will not return to the slow position.

Try moving the speed control knob abd watch the action of the speed control plate. It should move freely in and out. If not then check for binding and/or loose screws.

If all the above is OK then the problem is most likely the phase control board item #30. It can be purchased online for around $15 and is fairly easy to replace.

Kitchenaid ksm50pob no stir speed all other speeds seem ok

I don't know if it will work for you but move the speed lever from front to back a few times as fast as you can. This will polish the contacts. This is like the old fashioned TV tuners. People used to turn them slowly and then complain when they needed serviced every 6 months. Spinning the tuner knob kept the tuners working flawlessly for years.

Cold Am . I turned the left knob 45 degree . All i get is HEAT,knob moves

Hi rafis1234,
if you are handy, you can remove the small dash panel where the a/c control knobs are and then you'll access the lever mechanism and most of the time you'll find a rusty lever or someting has jammed the lever.
Cheers

Camcorders

Almost any new digital camcorder will work great, but you want to make sure it has a high speed shutter setting.  Set the shutter speed as high as possible (which means you'll need a lot of light... day light is perfect).  You're still only shooting 30 frames per second, but each shot will be sharper (less motion blur) as the shutter speed increase.  High-end cameras can go up to as much as 1/10000th of a second, but even 1/500 would be great.  Standard, default shutter speed is 1/60th.
For playback, you can use the same camera with a remote control.  Just press play, then just before the swing press pause.  Then use the frame advance button to move 1 frame at a time.  Multiple presses of the frame button will increase the speed... to slow motion.

Good luck!

Today mixer stopped while mixing.

OK, you mentioned everything except the brand. I found on some models of Sunbeam mixers that the speed governor would fail due to the control knob screw being loose.

On that particular model, the screw is behind a stick-on label in the center of the knob. Peel off the label and make sure the screw is tight.

If your mixer isn't a Sunbeam, please advise.

Shutter remains open

It may be fatal as there are no parts available for the FE series. The main components that cause this problem are the FRE/ASA unit and the meter itself. The FRE is located under the rewind knob side of the top cover. It is made of glass and can be damaged by impact. The meter is under the speed dial and can also cause this type of problem. Neither is a easy repair.

What functions i can control with remote in f828?

Regarding remote control, sorry to say but it's very limited. With RM-VD1 you can only: ON/OFF Shutter release 1st and 2nd step Zoom in/out (except with F828 which has manual zoom) Rec/Stop (only with a camcorder)
