Question about RCA F36650 36" TV

1 Answer

TV has power, but picture or sound will not come on.

My F36650 model has power, but no picture or sound. Fine in a.m., turned off, left for a couple hours, came back and it was dead.

I have the same issue. Found on a site that the transistor is a common problem for these sets. I even ordered one on-line..but took the back off the the TV and can't find where it goes. Anyone know anything about TV wiring or where I can buy repair manuals?

It sounds like something in the set has failed. These newer TV's have shut down circuits that won't let the set come on if there is a short or excessive voltage somewhere in the set. Most failures in TV's occur at the moment the set is turned on.

Sound is fine, but no picture

could be a bad solder connection or maybe the CRT socket has come off slightly. I lean more to a bad solder connection at the flyback area screen G2
