Question about Western Digital My Book Elite 2TB External USB 20 Hard Drive
Update the software again and unplug for 30 to 30 seconds. Unplug the USB from computer and External Hard Drive. Unplug the AC Adapter. Replug everything, the correct driver will be installed

Already tried updating drivers and it said I have the up to date software, I've uninstalled the drivers from my computer to update it on my computer. Whatever other software to update I do not know what it is.
Go to Device Manager (with your USB drive connected) and expand the row (should be at the bottom of the list) that says "Universal Serial Bus Controllers". Right click on "USB Mass Storage Device" and then "uninstall". Reboot your computer - the OS should install the device again on reboot. I would suggest disconnecting all your other USB devices before uninstalling the WD portable drive (and also doing so if you decided to upgrade the firmware).
