Oil sqirting out spark plug hole.If its a worn seal, how dow I replace it.

Head gasket replacement is part of what you
would call a small equipment tune-up,where as
on a car ,it would be a break down repair

Head Gasket and carbon removal is done every
8 or 10 years if you want a good running small
equip engine.

If some sort of additive helped some, then remove
the carb clean it & install a new spark plug

Oil usage is a worn & out of round cylinder,
no fix for that

Myh CMM1200 mower stops abruptly while mowing and then starts again after some few minutes

Motor Brush problems maybe.
My cobb job fix is to leave the top on but unfastened. When this problem occurs I flick the brushes (pull the spring back and let them pop closed) with an electrically insulated screw driver. Seems to work. Cobb job though.

My story is the same. I have an MM600, replaced switch, and still trips breaker in variety of configurations. I have tried both of the relevant configs recommended on this site, and no luck. Is there...

As you know a breaker tripping is a result of a direct short inside the electrical circuity of your mower.

That short can be anywhere from just beyond the switch all the was down to the winding in the motor.

There are 2 switches Item 3 and Item 7 of this link:
http://www.toolpartsdirect.com/cgi-bin/noframes.cgi/blackdecker/MM600_TYPE_1

Places for a short are the power wire from the switch to the motor connection. (Item 28 of link)
http://www.toolpartsdirect.com/cgi-bin/noframes.cgi/blackdecker/MM600_TYPE_1

A broken motor brush where the carbon brush has broken off and the metal from the spring is now touching wither the motor chassis or across multiple segments of the armature.

Check items 46, 47, 48, 48 this link for damage:
http://www.toolpartsdirect.com/cgi-bin/noframes.cgi/blackdecker/MM600_TYPE_1

Also check Item 80 Brush of the above link (picture below link
http://www.toolpartsdirect.com/cgi-bin/parttools.cgi/242273-00

A bearing in the motor can have failed allowing the armature Item 65 of link to drag on the stator item 70 of link and cause a stator short where the armature damaged the stator winding.

The above items are all things that can cause your problem. It will take a multi-meter and some resistance checks of the circuit to isolate exactly where the short is.

I would connect the meter across the 2 power cord terminals i.e unplugged and simulate mower use then start disconnecting wires one at a time working my way backward from the motor to see when the short disappeared. If the short is in the motor... then we are back to all of the times above except the cord and switches. The all have to be isolated and checked out.

I was having the same problem. I took the whole thing apart. It was the motor brushes and the handle switch. Check out www.ToolPartsDirect.com and type in your mower model number. You can see the diagram and order the parts you need. Mine were less than $20. It's really easy to take this mower apart.
