LG DLE5932W no heat on permanent press , no problem with normal heat. Have replace the whole heating module, still no heat on permament press setting. Ran the diagnostic, ON pressing the start/pause button the second time the heater 1(1250W) supposed to kick in , but display showed 24 which is the room temp. Exhaust pipe still feel cold. On 3rd time pressing the start/pause button where Heater 1 + heater 2 (5400W) kick in the display showed 50, exhaust feels hot

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

Hi,On many dryers, there's a thermal fuse (a heat-sensitive fuse that blows if the dryer overheats) mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. The fuse is about an inch long. It's usually embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing.

If the fuse has blown, it has no continuity. When this happens, your dryer either just stops heating, or it doesn't work at all. Be sure to inspect the venting/heating system before replacing the fuse to put the dryer back into operation. (You can't re-set this type of fuse.)

Sounds like your problem may be with the heating coil.
If you plan to try to repair the problem yourself, then the first thing you want to do is unplug the dryer from the electric.
Remove the back of the machine and try to locate the air tube going from the blower to the drum. Normally inside the air tube you will find the heating coil and the thermostats/thermistor.
Once you have located the heating coil, remove the two wires from it and check the coil with an ohm meter across the two terminals of the coil.
You should read continuity across the terminals, if not you will need to replace the coil as it is faulty.

Heating element is bad

things to take into account- are all the filters/ customer cleaning service parts clear?
is there good airflow and are you overloading the unit? there should only be 1 heater element controlled by a reduced heat switch.

the back of the dryer have about 16 sheet metal screws.remove all the screws with a nut driver.the back should come off.

You really need a volt / ohm meter to check for Continuity & Volts
Its well worth the investment... $15.00 bucks give or take a few
I would check to see if you have 220v to back of dryer where the cord mounts to dryer,
If dryer is getting only 1 leg 110 volts instead of the 220 will it not heat.
Check themostates & heater for Continuity... Most models, Now have a..
Hi-limit fuse that need to be checked for Continuity and replaced if bad
if you dont have a ohm meter you can hook the wires together
with a small piece of wire and by pass the themostates and hi limit fuse to see if thats the problem or not
