SOURCE: How to clear internal paper jam on CLX-3160FN Samsung Multifunction Printer

I found another site that suggested these steps:

1. Check that all of the black plastic pieces turn freely when paper is fed through.
2. Take a fine grit sandpaper and gently sand the rubber spool/wheel in the bottom center of the pritner to re-texture it.
3. Clean all rollers with isopropyl alcohol.

Step 2, Sanding the rubber roller seemed to fix the problem completely.

SOURCE: There is a foreign object in my printer and I

A crude method but works sometimes is to lift the printer shake it ans then turn it up and down and side ways. May be the foreign object gets displaced/dislodged and then it can drop out from any of the openings when you are shaking it or turning it up down. Otherwise I will not advise you to open the printer yourself. Please have it checked and serviced by a company technician.

I had a paper jam in my ESP 5200 printer. Now I can't figure out how to get the light gray back piece back into the printer. There are no pictures for how it fits. HELP!

Good Day Auntbigsis!

The gray piece at the back is the cleanout assembly.

To Install the cleanout assembly back at the rear of the printer after removing paper jam, just follow the procedure:
  1. Insert the right side of the cleanout assembly into the back of the printer so that the tabs fit into the slots on the right side of the cleanout area.
  2. Rotate the left side of the cleanout assembly until the latch snaps into place.
  3. Pull on the cleanout assembly to insure that it is seated.

Paper problems

First thing you need to do Turn off the printer and Open the rear access door or cleanout area as we call that (back door) and clean all the rollers on the back. make sure also that you are using the deskjet paper and if you put 20 pages of paper on the paper tray make sure to fan it before you put it in. the alarming sounds or blinking on the printer indicates that the paper is jamming on the printer

-The ink is normal to move to center or left to right, But if you open the printer access door the ink or the printhead should stay on the middle for you to able to replace the ink cartridges and remove the printhead

Kodak esp 7 has a paper jam I cannot remove the paper

If you have tried the Kodak standard instructions for clearing the paper jam problem and it did not help try the procedure below.
1. Open the printing area of the printer (containing the ink cartridges).
2. The Ink cartridge holder should be to right side of track.
3. Look on left side, below the track for the cartridge that is used to
clean the print heads. It can be identified by a square black pad
approx. 1" sqaure that appears to be made of "felt".
If it is visible this is most likely your problem.
4. To correct problem locate the flat latching lever approx. 3/4" wide that
sticks up about 1/2" above the cartridge. It is locacted just behind
the "felt" square. Gently push lever toward rear which should free the
cleaning cartridge and allow the entir cartridge to move slightly
backward.
5. Close the top of the printer and cycle the printer off and back on.
If this is the problem, the "paper jam" error will now be gone.
This is such a simple fix I do not know why kodak does not inform
customers of this problem and how to fix it.
