I have a woods also, beginning to think it is a piece of JUNK, you set it,it works for awhile and then no more, the time will be wrong and the settings/programs cleared, and no the power did not go off.

Links and information in original answer are 100% accurate and give valid location for identifying timer. If you want help, then add photo of your timer to Flickr and then post a fixya question with link to that photo. If timer is giving a problem, then check outlet with circuit analyzer. Move timer to different outlet. Plug simple incandescent lamp into timer to see if timer can control that Load. Read instruction manual for load rating: some timers are made strictly for incandescent light bulb, and are not rated for motor loads or CFLs or TVs. If timer simply doesn't work, then buy another one.

Need instruction manual for outlet timer#59732 Model#DT300 125v/60Hz 8.3amp/1000watt resistive. Only other #s isee 227259

Open following links for possible DT300 manual:
I don't see load rating in manual, but 1000Watt would be typical for timer with 2-prong outlet.

If manual is not correct:
Other folks have asked for DT300 manual, but didn't like provided manual.
Timers can have many different numbers, and different timers can go by same number:
1) Add a comment with link to in-focus photo of timer posted on Flickr, for possible identification.

I installed the GE Basic Timer 15070 ok. I set on and off times followint the insdtructions several times. The time will tunr the light on at the set on time but it never turns the light off at the set off...

Something doesn't sound right.
I have two of these timers and cannot figure out what your timer is doing, unless wiring is wrong or timer is defective, or you connected timer to 3-way switch.

15070 is single pole analog timer that requires neutral wire.
Slide switch is set to 'Timer' for automatic timer functions.

I'm using the woods 59200 mechanical timer to automatically open and close a chicken coop door. I can't for the life of me figure out how to set it. Help!

Woods 59202 is 7-day analog VACATION timer and cannot be set.
Vacation timers are preset to turn on-and-off at random times so it looks like somebody is home when you are away.

You might want the 59201 analog timer which can be set for on-off times over 24-hour period. Minimum on-off is 15 minutes.

If you need a 7-day timer, buy a programmable instead of analog. Wooods 59377 or Intermatic DT630 heavy duty

If you have analog plug-in timer, open following link to see how to set timers:

If this is not your timer, add a comment and describe the timer.
I have extensive files on timers.

Timer has segments located around dial.
Lift segments up or push segments down to set on-off times
To set current time, rotate dial until current time lines up with arrowhead located on inner dial

Have GE digital timer 15117. Can't figure out how to make the display show AM/PM so I can set it correctly. Clock hour/min just cycles through 12 hours without noting AM or PM setting. Can't program...

GE 15117 manual

You might try a new AA battery.
Some guy wrote in this week and said he bought 6 timers and all the batteries were bad except 1.

Some timers, like Woods TD1300, and others have the 12 hour or 24 hour option.
You press and hold Time button to choose 12 hour or 24 hour
But GE 15117 manual says nothing about this option.

GE 15117 timer is same timer as Woods 59403
Several folks have written in past couple weeks about the Woods 59403 timer skipping over functions.
The best I can guess is your timer is malfunctioning like the other people's timers.

Woods 59403 manual is identical to GE manual, and says nothing about 12 hour 24 hour option either

I test timers for programming and wiring difficulties.
Yesterday 3 timers arrived here, and 1 didn't work.
I took it apart and tested the electronics, and something went bad.
When these timers don't work, you get your money back or throw them away.
