Hotpoint HSS25GFT 25.0 Cu. Ft. Side-by-Side Refrigerator with GE SmartWater Filtration, LightTouch Problem: Water continually drips from water dispenser spout

Should be the water valve in the back. Over time the seals break down our debre in water will cause to leak. Sometimes new water filters will also cause small issues but shouldn't last long.

Hello, lost water in the house, now when came back on, water dispensor has a slow drip... the dispensor handle seems to be working fine... it dispenses water when pressed.. doesn't seem to stay...

If you take the bottom grill off the front of the appliance -1x Philips screw either side- under the freezer door you will see where the water pipe goes through the hinge. follow that pipe back towards the underneath of the machine and you should come across a push-fit connector.

The pipe leading through the freezer door from the connector, and blow down it, re-fit, press dispenser paddle to allow to flow. This stops the drip in 9/10 instances.

If not you may need to have someone check the water valve for slight blockage.

Ice and water

Remove the top hinge cover on the freezer door and disconnect the plug there . This removes power to the freezer door . Remove the dispensor drip pan and the 2 screws holding the dispensor cover on . Disconnect the plug from the cover . You should now see a circuit board only held on by plastic clips , a disconnect plug on the left side and on the right , 1 or 2 wire terminals . This board is what you need to replace . When getting a replacement , take your complete model number so you get the correct board .

The water dispensor is dripping water, what do I need to do to fix this thanks

On back of refrigerator there is a water control valve. One goes to ice maker and the other goes to the water dispenser. Unplug the one that goes to the dispenser and if the water continues to flow then you will need to replace the control valve. If you could find the model number near floor and behind the fresh food section door, I could tell you which part number you need, Let me know what you find, Thanks, Sea Breeze

Water dripping from water dispensor -fridgidair sid by side

Hi, If the water is a constant drip, you will most likely need to change the water inlet valve. This valve will be complete with the icemaker valve also. Sounds like the plunger in the valve is starting to stick open.
I hope this helps. If I can acwer anymore questions, please ask.

Thanks
Vic

Water dipenser broke

drip tray pulls foward (might take some serious finger strength but itll pull foward, revealling 2 phillips screws that will release the dispensor facade. before attempting i would unplug the harness atop the freezer door, you dont want to short circuit boards behind dispensor.

We have a side by side refrigerator/freezer. a water drip runs down the grille on the freezer side. a small amount. we cannot locate where the water comes from. Can you help?? model #ed20tqxfn00 Al...

If you have ice and water in the freezer door it would appear that the water line going to the water dispensor has a leak. First check where the door hindges at the bottom as this is where the line runs from the water container located in the fresh food compartment to the water dispensor in the freezer door.
