Question about Canon MultiPASS MP360 All-In-One InkJet Printer
When i go to printing settings the language is not in english..... how do i change it?
I had the same problem with my Canon Smartbase MP730. Printer properties was in Portuguese, no matter how many times the driver was uninstalled and reinstalled.
By running Filemon from SysInternals I realized that when showing the printer properties files in the
C:\BJPrinter\CNMWINDOWS\Canon MP730 Printer\LanguageModules\0409\
folder were created. One of those files was CNMmhya.hlp. When clicking on it a Help-window with Portuguese text shows up - even though the code 0409 means English. This is a symptom of the problem. This file was copied from somewhere in the Windows folder.
To fix this annoying problem, the following worked for me:
-> Unplug the printer
-> Uninstall the driver
-> Rename the following folder with the portuguese language driver stuff which still remains, even after uninstallation of the driver:
(if you cannot rename it, reboot and try again). You should first check that there are indeed portuguese help-files in this folder. To do that, click on one of the .hlp files. If they are not your problem could be a different one, but it could also be that the files are stored nearby in the file system.
-> Reinstall the driver with the language of your choice. This time there won't be Portuguese files blocking proper installation of your new files.
-> Replug the printer to finish the driver installation
Now you should have finally gotten rid of the Portuguese (which may seem Spanish or Italian to some) text in Printer related windows.

On installation the drivers should setup in the language of the operating system being used. I downloaded driver updates for my Canon MP 360 and found that all the language was gobble-de-gook.
I tried loads of things to get it to change back but was unsuccessful. What I did was uninstalled all the drivers for the printer then went and searched all files and folders in the system with Canon in them. These I deleted to the recycle bin, this included the backup Canon drivers. Restarted and reinstalled the printer from scratch. The drivers picked up the operating system language and bobs your uncle, everything was hunky dory again. Hope this helps.
