Toget proper heat, keep your temp setting at 30+ degree and also mode in "heat"position. If still no heat, check your heating sensor for closed circuit by anOHMs metre. It it's with RV, check power to RV.If it's with heatingelement check power to element. If power is there but still no heat meanselement defective. Replace new heating element. Thanks.

What do i do?my heating thermostat won't turn off and house is getting hot!

First determine if in fact the thermo is or is not shutting off. There is usually a little indicator as to when it calls for heat .so how do you know it's the thermostat. What type is it electronic or not. Also what type of heat hot water or forced air etc, need to know etc. if house to hot shut the heat off at your service switch, usually wall switch with a red cover.located on the heating unit or a hallway to basement on wall.

We have a new a/c and the system has heat strips. For a/c. we have had the thermostat set on AC at 72degrees. Now that it is getting colder and may need some heat in the house, do we switch the...

If your thermostat has an emergency heat setting this means you have a heat pump system.
Yes you need to set the thermostat to heat for heating the house.
The emergency heat setting should never be used unless your outside unit is not functioning.
The emergency heat setting overides the heat pump (the outside unit will not be energized).
The emergency heat setting will run the auxillary heat (heat strips) only.
When the thermostat is set in the heat position the heat pump will run to heat your house.
If the heat pump can't keep up (extreme cold) then then the auxillary heat will kick in to augment the heat pump until it satisfies the thermostat settings. If your room temperature gets 2 degrees below your thermostat setpoint, your auxillary heat will kick on. Example, say you are going to be gone a couple of days and you turn your heat down to 60 degrees. When you return and it is 60 degrees in your house, you turn the thermostat up to 70 degrees. Since you are turning the temperature up 2 degrees or more (10 degrees in this case) from the 60 degree room temperature then the heat pump will come on and the auxillary heat strips. The unit will continue heating like this until the temperature in the house gets to 69 degrees and the heat strips will turn off and the heat pump will continue to run until the 70 degree setpoint is reached.
Hope this helps.

Wondering if I mounted the flame cutoff sensor in the correct way. Does it mount onto the side of the burner unit? The dryer is now working but seems to be running hot.

The cutoff switch don't control the heat. Just tripps if the dryer overheats. The heat is judged by this cycling thermostatlthemobilian_2742.jpg
Mostly these don't over heat. The probo gonna be up in here:

Stackable Kenmore model 110.98752. Dryer drum turns but no heat. Vent does not appear plugged since air does flow through to outlet.

With your volt ohm meter (VOM) check for 220 volts at the terminal block the cord attaches to.
If 220 is present, unplug the dryer and remove the rear panel.
With meter set to continuity check the thermostats and fuses on the heater as well as the heater coil. Remember to unplug the wires to each component to check them correctly.
You should read 120 volts from black to white and red to white for a complete circuit.

Look closely at the wires at the terminal for a burned wire.
No burned wire, open the wall outlet and inspect the wires and the female connections.

Read voltage at the wall connection for 220 volts and 120 volts from hot to neutral on both legs.
With the power disconnected you should take at least one wire off each thermostat and limit just to be sure you don't somehow get a false read.
If it runs at all and the heating element is OK then you most likely need a limit kit.
You dryer has a series of safetys. If the control thermostat fails, the filter housing gets blocked with lint, or the vent gets stopped up the heat could cause a fire. The bottom cannister thermostat limit is the lowest temp one 250F, it should shut down first if it fails then the limit mounted at the top of the cannister is set to Blow at 300F When it blows that is an indication of an external vent blockage. If the problem is from within the dryer then the fuse mounted on the blower housing will blow an the dryer won't run. The fuse is rated at 350F and is tied into the door switch. That is why the wires are smaller. They don't carry the heat load. If the duct fuse blows it is the same as if you opened the door. The dryer simply quits running.

Blowing out warm air

Turn thermostat switch to 'cool' setting. It's a 'heat pump' and is in the heat mode.

sounds as if the heater coil itself is burnt out. These coils may be repaired if you can get an universial coil repair kit and rewire the heater coil yourself. Since the age of the unit is in question I don't know if it is possible to get a kit for repairs but you never know. I would check an a/c supply house for this kit. Good Luck on your repairs
