Ayamaya is correct. If you flip over you're wireless-G router you'll find WRT54G & it's version number. The link: http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?c=L_CASupport_C2&childpagename=US%2FLayout&cid=1166859837401&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper&lid=3740141396B07
Is more to the point. You do not need a driver to get this router started. You will not find software on the net. The link above will allow you to connect to Linksys chat. A tech will give you the correct link to download the wireless software. Or click EasyLink Home Networking Tools & follow the instruction. You can even call Linksys if the online chat & network tools is a bit too tough.
(800-326-7114). US/Canada. Add a 1 depending on you're phone service. When using windows, once you connect your DLS modem or Cable modem into the wireless router (Main port on back of router). Connect a Rj45 from the router to a PC's Rj45 port. Windows will see the router and set up you're network. You will need to open, Network connections & you'll find windows has found a local area connection (number ?). Right click on this local area connection & left click properties. Make sure there is green check mark in both, (Show icon in notification area when connected) & Notify. Click OK

Good Luck!

There's definitely no such model number. If this is a router, ayamaya could be correct with WRT54G v2 being the model number. And only a firmware is available for this type of device, no drivers.

Goodluck!

Hi,

could you double check the model number of the router. is it really mrt54g or wrt54g? i can't find any linksys product that is starting with mrt because linksys wireless devices usually start with wrt (i.e. wrt54g = Wireless RouTer 54GHz or WAG54G = Wireless Adsl Gateway 54GHz). you can look underneath the device and look for the exact model #. if it's really starting with MRT, you might as well contact their tech support since it could be a new product and they haven't posted any software on the net yet. they should have beta softwares and you can ask them to send it to you. but if the model starts with WRT, just click the link below to the download the software that you need

http://www.linksys.com/servlet/Satellite?c=L_CASupport_C2&childpagename=US%2FLayout&cid=1166859837401&packedargs=sku%3DWRT54G&pagename=Linksys%2FCommon%2FVisitorWrapper&lid=3740137401B01&displaypage=download

hope this'll help you and just ask me if you'll have other concern

ciao!

if you already have a wireless setup the latop (if it has wireless) will pick up the wireless router (if security on the wireless network, just type in the security password). Type 192.168.1.1 into your browser to access the routers configuration page.

Need the driver for Linksys WRT300N V1 ... can't find the CD

Hi,

The LINKSYS WRT300N is a standalone device, there are no software/driver needed on your PC for the router to work. However, there is an easy Setup Wizard that is in the CD that normally comes with the unit.

Unfortunately, Linksys did not make the specific Setup Wizard (Version 1.3) for the WRT300N available online. However, if you care to try the Setup Wizard for a WRT54GC, it may downloaded from the LINKSYS ftp site here. I used to have a WRT54G and I did make use of the Setup Wizard for that model. I upgraded to WRT300N. The setup wizard for the old WRT54G worked likewise on the new WRT300N.

Alternately, the WRT300N can still be configured without the CD or the Setup Wizard by logging into the Configuration Page (192.168.1.1). Remember to use LAN interface when setting the router (as shown in the connection diagram) and set your PC to an IP Address of 192.168.1.2, Subnet Mask of 255.255.255.0; Follow on screen instructions and enter settings/configurations manually.

Hope that this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional information. Additionally, if you still prefer to have a copy of the original WRT300N Setup Wizard, pls include your email address that I may send it to you as an attachment.

Good luck and kind regards.
