Question about Sony VAIO Notebook
You'd better open up the laptop and do a thorough cleanup, and do the cleanup each 3 months. While you're at it, get a lubricant for cleaning up and degreasing electronic contacts and spray a bit of it in the electric motor of the fan. These cans are cheap and you can probably find it in your local supermarket or electronic repair shop.
This buzzing noise may be caused by a dust clog, or a dried out spindle axis. The thorough cleanup and lubrication will help. I've done this countless times on many laptop models. The other option is buying a new fan, which can sometimes cost up to $50, so better do the cleanup. Its free :)
