Monitor won't turn on after a few hours of being shut off

If it EVER works, then the problem is not a failed part, but a weak part. The most likely component type to give you such problems are capacitors. But very few repair techs know how to find such problems, and even fewer have the equipment needed to find the bad one(s) in-circuit. The failure mode is high ESR (ESR means Equivalent Series Resistance). The lower the ESR, the better. Capacitors with high ESR cannot stabilize circuits which demand high pulse currents, such as in switch mode power supplies.

How do you set the light delay, I lost my instruction booklet.

The 4½ minute interval can be changed to 1½, 2½ or 3½ minutes as follows: Press and hold the Lock button until the light blinks (about 10 seconds). A single blink indicates the the time is reset to 1½ minutes. Repeat the procedure and the light will blink twice, resetting the timer to 2½ minutes. Repeat again for a 3½ minute interval, etc., up to a maximum of 4 blinks and 4½ minutes.

Hello i lost the remote control booklet and i need the code for an rca tv. i have the gray 4.00 remote control ge/ jc022 the number on the inside is rc24914-d 3852

Use the Built in Code Search and never look for a code again!!!
  • 1 Turn on the device (e.g. TV, VCR or DVD) for which you wish to program.
  • 2 Press and hold the "Setup" button in the middle of the remote, under the "On/Off" button. Hold the button until the indicator light on the top left corner of the remote lights, then release the button.
  • 3 Press and release the button with the label of the device you wish to program. The indicator light will blink before remaining lit.
  • 4 Point the remote towards the device. Press and release the "On/Off" button every two seconds until your device turns off. (You may need to press the "On/Off" button up to 250 times before the correct code is found.)
  • 5 Press the "Enter" button on the lower right side of the remote control when your device turns off. The indicator light will subsequently turn off.

I have a dell inspiron 1525 the battery light was blinking orange and wouldnt come on so listening to an expert i bought a new battery when you first plug it in should the light still be orange??

Hi. Blinking orange light on battery indicator means it's charging. To make sure, point your mouse to the battery icon on the Taskbar located on the lower right-hand corner of your screen...near the system time and speaker icons. It should say plugged in, charging. If you see "plugged in, not charging, then you need to call Dell Phone Support for additional help.
