Be careful, the leak may be within the trigger assembly itself. Check the link below for a pointer to a parts site that also has exploded diagrams of the gun. These diagrams will assist in parts replacement. The trigger assembly should be available for around $25.

Bostitch N62FN air leaks out the cap and it wont pressure up or fire. Is the piston ring solid

Glad that you repaired your gun. The piston oring is the only oring in the gun that can have slit and still work fine. It works like a piston ring in a motor. Small ring gap is ok just as long as the piston does not drop down the cylinder under its own weight. The piston oring does not hold pressure, it only reacts to pressure when headvalve opens. When this series of gun leaks air, it is usually due to headvalve orings (lube with white grease), Cylinder seal loose or broken, or trigger valve oring splits (tva6 valve). Good luck

My N59FN has a new trigger *** and o rings still leaking form bottom it fires but will not nail.

Did you replace the complete trigger valve? Is that where it is leaking from? If it leaks from the nose or bottom of the gun that is likely one of three o-rings that seal it to the nose. Items 11, 13, and 27 on this parts diagram. If it leaks a lot of air from the head then that is either head valve o-rings or the cylinder seal (item 9).

I have a bostitch n62fn finish nailer that wont fire. when i pull the trigger, air comes out of the trigger assymbly. the gun is not jammed, and is receiving correct air pressure.

this may sound stupid but are you pushing it against the wood when pulling the trigger. it has a safety switch on the front so it will not work just by pulling the trigger.

SB1664 WON'T FIRE TRIGGER LEAKS AIR WHEN DEPRESSED

If the air is leaking from the trigger itself, the trigger asembly needs to be replaced. See the link below for more info about Bostitch repair info and cost. I would suggest that you closely examine the O-rings at the same time and chagne them if they appear worn.

If the trigger still works to fire the single shot, then the o-ring kit should be sufficient. If the trigger area continues to leak air, then the trigger should be replaced as well. Keep the gun well lubricated as well.

Air leaks from the trigger area.

Sounds like you need an upper o-ring kit. If one or more of the o-rings are damaged or hardened from age, it will leak air from the top or around the trigger. If the gun is more than a couple years old and gets frequent use, I'd also recommend replacing the lower o-rings also.

Leaking air when trigger is depressed

This is an indication of a defective seal. Try adding a little pneumatic oil to the gun and triggering it a few times. Sometimes all it is is a small leak in the o-ring because of a lack of lubrication. If not, then try replacing the o-rings (kit available for around $20). The next possibility is the trigger itself. I have replaced the trigger assembly on mine once thus far.

Good luck,
