Question about Sharp XR-11XC Multimedia Projector

No power indications

My projector shut down while watching it. No previous warning signs. now i am unable to power it back up. Not even a standby light. Is there a replacable fuse or something inside? My Sharp XR-11XC quit right in the middle of a movie. There was no warning what so ever and no previous problems prior to this. Now there is no power at all. Does anyone have a fix for this? Is it a fuse or do I need a new power supply? Please help.

My Sharp XR-11XC Projector shut off in the middle of a movie. There is no power at all to my unit. No warning lights, nothing. NO POWER AT ALL. Bulb still has 65% life left.

Replaced the fuse and still no power. No LED lights, nothing. What's the next step? Does anyone know

If there is a safety that kicks in to prevent overheating, how do you turn it off? The machine has been unplugged for two days and it still won't start.

Better take it to a service station to check. It may possibly be a power supply fault.

It may be a overheating issue and the safety kicks in and turns the device off for a certain amount of time.

The fuse is inside the unit it will be a 5 amp. ceramic fuse. It is located at the connections end of the machine. (Where all your videos etc. are plugged into)You must remove the screws from under the projector usually 5 of them, first using a philips screw driver. Then gently using a small flat screw driver, jewellers type place it between the end plate and the upper body cover. The upper cover is the one with all of the control buttons. There are two recessed catches at either end of the end cover on "top only" Using the end of a flat screw driver slowly pry the end cover upwards, this means the handle of the screw driver will be facing the bulb end of the projector. Fear not the casing is relatively strong. You then must try open the end as you insert pressure on the catch release one at a time. Once opened you will see a small probably grey colored fuse slightly inside.

Hope that helps.........

Greetings,

Fuse problem or power supply.
If it's the lamp, you'll still get a standby light.
Check also the ventilation, that might caused it to shutdown.

EIKI XB23 PROJECTOR WON'T GO ON

Do you hear the fan start up? or does the projector lamp come on (you start to see an image)?

If yes to either:

When the temperature inside the projector reaches a
certain level, the projector will be automatically shut down
to protect the inside of the projector. The POWER indicator
is blinking while the projector is being cooled down. When
the projector has cooled down sufficiently (to its normal
operating temperature), it can be turned on again by
pressing the POWER ON-OFF button.

Note:
After the temperature inside the projector returns to normal, the
WARNING indicator still continues to blink. When the projector is
turned on again, the WARNING indicator stops blinking.

Then check the matters below:
– Did you provide appropriate space for the projector to be
ventilated? Check the installing condition to see if
ventilation slots are not blocked.
– Is the projector not installed near the ventilation duct of
air-conditioning equipment which may be hot? Install the
projector away from the ventilation duct of airconditioning
equipment.
– Are the air filters clean? Clean the air filters periodically. Let me know if you need to know how to do this.

If no to either:

When the projector detects an abnormal condition, it is
automatically shut down to protect the inside and the
WARNING indicator will be red. In this case, disconnect the
AC power cord and reconnect it, and then turn the projector
on once again for check. If the projector cannot be turned
on and the WARNING indicator emits a red light, disconnect
the AC power cord and contact the service station for check
and repair.

Please let me know if this helped solve the problem. If not, is there anything else you observed - whether or not you believe it's relevant.

The clean your filter warning sign comes up and then shuts the projector down in 1 min. I have changed the lamp and filter. How do i reset the timer for the Lamp Hours and get rid of the warning?

Once the filter is replaced, plug the projector back in and make sure the projector is in standby mode.  Point the remote control at the projector and press the following buttons in order in less than 3 seconds: reset, ←, →, enter.  This worked for me.  Good luck.

NEC LT240 has Power, Status & Lamp indicators lit & wont turn on!

If your bulb finally reaches it's end before you have the chance to replace it you unit will shut itself down and go into a permanent standby mode. Changing the bulb alone will not remedy the issue. The solution is quite simple but not posted in the manual or anywhere else that I could find for that matter! All that is required is to hold down the HELP button on your remote for 10 seconds while aiming at the infrared sensor on the unit. This will reset the units bulb timer and remove it from the standby mode.

Infocus IN72 Projector. NO POWER OR NOT POWERING UP

This model projector is very sensitive to internal heat. I f by some reason the projector was abruptly powered down without the use of its normal procedure, in other words, unpluging cord from wall while on or power outage in premises, then the heat remains trapped and the sensors overheat and subsequently shuts down the unit. Now, although, once the sensors cool down it should reinstate operation some sensors become permanently damaged due to the extreme heat. In this case without having more facts, i believe it is the cause. I recommend a free check up to your nearest shop, most shops will offer free check ups.

No power indications

Remove the six screws from the bottom and 2 screws in the back that hold on the top cover. Once you have the top cover removed you will see a small round red button on the front of the unit. Press this button in; it should not pop back out. Put cover back on and plug it in.
