Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I've installed windows 7 ultimate 32bit for hp elitebook 6930p, however i cannot use my fingerprint sensor. how to fix it?

Browse hp.com for a suitable driver. There is a possibility that it won't work without the correct driver.

Hope you find one.

Hello; * First install the Finger Print Sensor Driver. * Then install the Digital Persona Personal Software. *After finishing the installation, setup the device and the fingerprint for password.

Finger print software causing blue screen of death

drivers for fingerprint software became corrupt. uninstall and reinstall of drivers along with doing a hardware reset (bios/security/fingerprint hardware) did the job.

Finger Print scanner

Well, the fingerprint scanner is used for a main purpose of quickly logging you onto your computer without having to punch in your password. There is a software called Thinkvantage Fingerprint Software that should have come with your purchase of the T61. (If it didn't, you can download the software for your OS here: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?lndocid=TVAN-EAPFPR).
Once that installed and working, you can setup your fingerprint settings and add profiles by going into the Program Files and running the 'ctlcntr' application.
You should be able to use it for logging in purposes now :) Hope it helps.

Disable the fingerprint sensor on lenovo R61i

If you don't plan on using it anytime soon the easiest way is to just remove the software from the ADD / Remove Programs section in the Control Panel.

Let me know if you have any problems.
