My Windows 7 does not recognise the scanner Digitech XC4881

Right click on Computer and click Manage.
Go to Device Manager
See if there are any things listed without proper drivers. Right click on them and choose update driver.
If it's not listed at all in the device manager you may have a bad cable, bad printer or bad USB port. Try plugging into a different port and see if you get action.

Digitech xc4881 driver

For what operating system? There are a ton of posts about this on google. If you are using Windows 7 then use the vista driver as administrator and in compatability mode.

Digitech XC4881 - cannot scan colour negatives under Windows Vista. OK with XP.

if you right click on the shortcut/exe and go to properties, there should be an option to run in compatibility mode and run it as XP.

I have a new digitech xc4881 and have installed the cd.Before i can do anything else it says it had encounted a problem and has to close.I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it with no luck.

I found that when I used the CD on my home pc, running XP home edition SP3, it said the same thing. But, when I tried the CD on my laptop running Windows 7 it worked fine. So I installed it there instead. Once it was loaded and the scanner installed, I started using it. I just finished my first lot of negatives - looks good.

Apple Extreme Network not picked up by Windows XP laptop.

it's a matter of who did what with whom and when they did it.

Vista came along when Apple and Microsoft had agreed to allow each other OS's to operate in each other's platforms with Intel performing the Core Duo marriage, but XP is the child from a previous generation when the two did not get along, though they knew of each other.

I know some actual marriages like that.

Didn't mean to be flippant, but XP is better than Vista in some respects and worse in this case.

Printer Sharing

Hi jammin dave,

There are certainly known issues with sharing a printer installed on an XP machine to a Vista machine. First question is whether you have Windows Live OneCare installed. This in itself causes known sharing problems.
